The battle rating (BR) of the F-5A(G) is unreasonable. It has no radar-guided missiles, no bomb drop indicator, and a low flight speed. Yet it faces opponents in the 12.0 BR bracket every match—this is simply unfair.

Its also F-5 platform and gets 9L at 11.0 (and unlike A-10 its actually fast).

Problem of uptiers isnt unique to the F-5A(G).

Two AIM-9Ls make it impossible to survive at the same tier. It’s the absolute bottom of the barrel among vehicles with the same battle rating (BR)—what’s the point of it?

How many transonic/supersonic airfcrafts at 11.0 have 9Ls, or all aspect missiles in general?

Such missile isnt common at 11.0.

Because as far as I k know, none get 9Ls and only Mig-21bis and derivates get all-aspects at this BR.

But youre free to name them.

None of the vehicles at 11.0 get look down shoot down capable radar and/or high perfomance SARHs. Closest is F-4E at 11.3, which gets only DF sparrows, it has only rear aspect 9Js and radar that isnt LDSD capable.

And once again, problem of uptiers isnt unique to F-5A(G).

First time seeing someone saying the F5A(G) is overtier, my guy it is literally the best 11.0, other F5 got at best 9j or 9p.
All to say: Skill issue.

So planes 0.7 and 1.0 BR higher than you. Seems logical they are better if they sit at higher BR.

I only recently picked up playing F-5E (US one) so I have set to master it, but ive played in its BR range more than enough (MiG-21s, F-4S, MiG-23MLA, F-4F) and I know to never dogfight F-5E - and this is experience I gained the hard way.

All of them u can out dogfight easily, to counter R24R, just pre chaff him, F1C can be easily out rate as long as u pre flare so that he don’t get a magic 2 up your ass, same for the F4S, just chaff and abuse multipath and maybe don’t go headon with them?

I have found this particular jet to be quite enjoyable

All F5s are under BRed or need a good healthy nerfing (they are straight overperforming in a few ways)

So lowering the BR of a 9L equipped F5 which is just barely fine at 11.0?

Its fine imo, F-5A(G) is pretty solid. Got that Norwegian bias lol

They should correct the flares on all the F5’s for its BR it has the least amount, it should also get its Viking CM pod, give it its correct equipment.

That, but also reduce its STR by about 2-3 deg/sec and give them an IR signature.

They are also wierdly tanky, but that needs an damage model overhaul for everything to be corrected.

Its a effective base bomber so its the trade off, compression is also a problem

I play it only in sim… 106 games so far.

465 kills for 65 deaths…

Incredible plane… and it ONLY fights 12.0 if I decide to…

Perfect in 10.3-11.3 games.
