The Arietes could be decent and enjoyable, could have been for a long time. I can not understand the refusal to do it.
Even with all of these armor improvements, the Ariete would still be one of the worse protected MBTs, which aligns with reality- but at least in a more logical and realistic way, and in one that makes it more viable for the game.

Suggestion reports once passed are closed. If there is new / additional information, a new report should be made with that or a PM sent to any tech mod or myself. The new report will be labeled as a “duplicate” but that’s just procedure. The info will be merged into the existing report.
Our internal reports don’t automatically update if someone necro edits a report and adds new information or a new comment on th CBR. So we lock forwarded suggestions reports for this reason so information is not missed.
Ah, that’s sad. My only hope that Ariete will become less confidential once IMBT enters service. The situation with “WAR” is still abysmal in my opinion.
Italy is the only nation in the game I haven’t grinded, and it’s because of the state of the Arietes.
I would 100% have purchased the Premium Ariete if it had its correct armor and an appropriate BR (all Arietes should be at least 1 BR step lower even with armor fixes)… but since they refuse to just fix it, I can’t be bothered.

In current situation, we can’t find out more effective files or data to describe the exact protection value of armor, but at least you can depend on those estimated value in the bug report to make Ariete way more better than now, it has multiple source refering the Ariete should have a better armor compared with now. @Smin1080p_WT
Yes I clearly saw that, I’m the writer of that report, I mean that report has already have what your change needed, it has estimated protection value, more than 2 secondary sources, 1 for armor value and 1 for hull armor type. I don’t think that is not enough for you to make ANY changes, you can change the WAR kit armor value, hull armor type or turret armor value. ANY one of these change can make Ariete better than now.
Sadly that is not down to me to decide and as the Devs have said, they currently do not have enough from it to make changes from. As per the response earlier. So it’s not just a case of disagreeing with that assessment unfortunately.
I would like to add that your report includes a parliamentary hearing and manufacturer data saying the hull has composite armor and they say they can’t change anything 😂
So how many sources Devs need? 5 more? What type of sources? like armor value? structure of the armor pack? You know we can’t get any type of that sources, and that report is the most complete data we can use for now. Devs can depend on those data to change the Ariete first, then they can correct any incorret part once they have more effective data. Isn’t that good?
The best solution for now is to open another report attaching old and new sources that confirm the anti-ke nature of the WAR kit.
Remember to highlight every sentence that confirm this so there’s no margin for error and translate everything as accurately as possible.
Changing the value of the WAR kit is way easier than changing the entire model before the update and secondary sources about this kit are now easier to find as the new AMV is entering production and can mount both the WAR and PSO without breaking down its engine.
When the report is complete attach a link here so as many people can participate and add additional sources to support the report.
@Smin1080p_WT can you confirm again that secondary sources will be accepted for this report as primary sources are still under national secret? Otherwise the report will be inevitably closed with no chance of reply.
Makes sense, maybe a report exclusively focused on the WAR kit might be worth the try.
If anyone needs more sources for the report you can find two in my previous comment:
Providing they are not from Encyclopedia sources or third party sources like blogs, at least two agreeing secondary sources (though ideally the more the better) should be fine for the report to be passed on.
Authored works (secondary source): Reference books on collections of vehicles/aircraft/ships (‘coffee table books’), biographies, specialist books, “expert” opinion publications, industry magazines etc. At least two unrelated sources required.
