simple the event is too hard to be considered an April fools event with having to for starters learn how to fly a jet learning how to use a missile then learning how to use radar missile, then when you know how to use which I still dont you need to apply that against people who make jets their whole life so its not even a competition so you just die over and over and over again racking up lions cost since for some reason you made this APRIL FOOLS EVENT cost to play which is just disgraceful and just straight impossible to keep up. April fools event were supposed to be a time where everyone could play something fun and cool that you whipped up but that’s not what this is its just something that you want the whales to play. so I dont know what you can do maybe allow for lower BRs to play but with a lower point gathering but just anything so that I dont have to waste 100 bucks for 2 planes.
You can get away without using a radar missile, like ever tbf.
It’s what I do.
Aim-9L with the phantom, and the Mig-23 gets 2 IRs anyway.
Just fly at enemy, press space to activate secondary weapon once under like 5-7 km then yeet. Spam flares while doing a beached fish impression. Repeat until 250 SP
Then use the ground targetting marker or the green line enabled by clicking on map with the red borders to toss nukes at tanks and SPAA (look up how to use CCIP - official warthunder tutorial video! You want to do “toss-bombing”. With both mig-23 and the phantom, you can do it from 20km out when flying at max speed)
I’m someone who:
- Doesn’t play RB (I had to completely reset my control scheme because my set-up was using WASD to control the camera as a starting point.)
- Doesn’t play jets
and I can manage just fine doing the above (suicide-jousts with IR missile head-ons, then toss bombing with the 5kt nuke)
Nothing of my 4.0 ww2 spam in ASB translates but… it’s not that hard*
*the 10.3-13.0 BR range is stupid and should be restricted to just the free planes.
You’re basically required to use your own aircraft if you want to actually do good in air to air
But the free cas jets are more than enough for taking out enemy ground units

I dont have any air and the ones they give you are barely enough but its just the weapon choice costs for spawning and the anti air on the ground pummeling me.
Once you get 250SP you’ll basically be in an infinite loop of profit
Fly at 50 meters or less. Basically skim the treetop to avoid being missiled to death by radar missiles (you will get missiled to death but… sometimes you’ll live).
As for the radar missiles ON YOUR SIDE?
You got enough AIM-9Ls to get the 250 SP needed for your first nuke. Dying doesnt cost SP as long as you arent spawning with a nuke The radar missiles are handy but not necessary especially since everyone is flying low so your radar is kinda useless.

Good event, probably the only one that doesn’t require 45k xp per day everyday
The trees are sitting at 200m for some reasons so i cant go that low and i only get like 2 good missiles as america since the others dont work and russia i get 6 crappy missiles and another big problem is that the amaericains can shoot missiles at us before we can shoot back like i just sse streeks of missiles and im dead before i see an enemy like my only options is targetting ground bomber players who dont have much manuverability but that has to be before they die or before i get shot and for them to not somehow kill me im lossing my mind over this and i dont believe i can complete this event and i dont really want to spend $100 for some bombers that ill barely even use

That’s the thing you have a techtree plane, I have the f15a and nothing for Russia the difference in experience is laughable
