The german empire is played most because it is OP, because most players do not even realise that they can change teams (lioterally needed to explain to people how to do it because Gaijins event interface is literally unuseable trash)
And the german Empire side is far easier to complete usually taking 2 missions, sometimes only 1 because You can kill any Entente vehicle in 1 or 2 shots using the Garford while the Garford needs to hit actual weakpoints on the A7V

The Entetntettet has a bomber which the Germans don’t, and also have the Garfield.
A7V is easy to kill. And the Beauty Panzer is tanky on both sides.
As much as I have my gripes about the vehicles, this event is by far the best in recint events. You can’t tell me the Mad Max event is better than this one. + It’s only 5k points (10k in total for both) thats way better than 45k or the bull crafting.

Yeah i only did two battles on the Entente,last match a camping Garford killed me 3 times from spawn to spawn.
It absolutely sucks,12.0 Ground Battles in comparison is the sanest and most balanced experience in the game
i really enjoyed mad max, i just liked the world and the storm was very cool. But this ww1 update is just new vehicles, i was hoping there was something cooler with the infantry
The germans get a Zepelin with more bombs and bigger bombs, the Fokker has an actual flight model while the DS is impossible to fly and has worse weapons.
The St. Char can be oneshot killed by the Garford at any angle, the Mk IV at almost every angle the A7V needs to be hit on the drivers hatch or it is immune to all HE damage.
I get the feeling you did not even play the mode.
the A7V was nerfed 3 times reducing its RoF from 3s reload to 8s reload.
Its crew HP was also nerfed, its movbility was nerfed and more…
theres just not a lot of uniqueness with this april fools, its very bland
Its the worst event we ever had and it was a boring torture to play and grind

Luckily it did not take us long to complete each stars. I also find it boring and the small lobbies were not what I was looking for.
In total, I played 2 games where there were more than 20 players…
I killed plenty of A7Vs by hitting the flat surfaces and ignoring the driver.
promised infantry, its AI infantry, day is ruined and im now gunna kickflip off a horse

I think the mode was alright.
We earned tiny bit of credits, so it wasn’t a waste of time.
I had… somewhat opposite experience.
I could get into battles with 3-ple entente faster, lost more often, but had more stuff to do as allies are usually taken out.
German Empire took a while to get in, and I had at least 1 roflstomp situation, where I just couldn’t do anything to get points. The allies were too good.
I got 3k+ score more often using Entente than Germany, and that was mostly because they have a usable bomber.
Yes it’s unbalanced, it it’s still fun. Though I suppose that is subjective. Winning doesn’t matter so much, we’re not farming rp….I still had fun.

I think Zeppelin is also use-able, maybe even more than the entente counterpart, but the issue is they spawn at too low altitude…
But then again, if they’d spawn at too high, almost no one would be able to reach them.
In either case, I found Zeppelin much more maneuverable than any other plane, no excess wobbling when you turn a bit to aim your bombsight.
But, yes, the defense gunner mode is broken on the Zeppelin.
