Iam recently really disapointed about the mass of maps that dictate knife fight ranges. It feels like every map in the rotation is a city map. Sure thats just how i feel but we had much more maps that where big and we dont see them anymore. Its almost as if someone tries to force the headless chicken gameplay of br 10.0+ on to the lower br’s. Come-on, we play with tanks. No way a tank would go urban without infantry support.
Then sere are so many maps i remember where a thing but just arent in the rotation anymore. The South african one as example.
Rotation does suck - get the same map over and over again during play in one day.
But not sure I agree on the city map thing…
Every time I play my Russian garage (with vehicles that have terrible gun depression) I get maps with hills like Ash River, Arctic, Berlin (more lumpy than hilly but still…), Attica, Carpathians, Finland and Frozen Pass just to name a few.
In the above cases I was desperately hoping for city maps.
(as an aside - does ANYONE like Attica? Can’t stand the bottlenecks on that map that funnel everyone into kill-zones)
More than the half of the maps are small completely flat urban areas probably because one certain nation with endemic gun depression problems and inferior long range combat perform need this kind of maps for be competitive.
Of course just add the same style map for almost 6 years was enough for russians. So Gaijin started a absurd campaing for destroy all good maps and transformed then in more small idiotic urban maps.
Now add the a completely destroyed map rotation give you the same 5 or 6 maps over and over and over again and you have the actual WTF Thunder.
