A videogame is not that deep, far from what I know there are no legal problems in adding a 3D model from one folder to another, War Thunder doesn’t represent real political scenarios nor represent real political entities, you alongside with other people that see the M1A2T as a problem are using the same argument of people that openly advocated for no chinese vehicles to the japanese tech tree. I’m no lawyer but I feel like you’re stretching the law way too much to fit in your narrative in a videogame.
