The AIM-120 'AMRAAM' - History, Design, Performance & Discussion

this is a significant buff lmao

look at how much better the thing is even at low alt

Is this only a change to the D variant?

All got buffed .

C5/D equally I think

A/B got buffed too but by a different amount, which makes sense

Why is that considered a buff? Wouldn’t a long-range ARH seeker actually be more effective the more “blind” it is?
Considering that the more “blind” the seeker is, the more it can ignore the opponent’s countermeasures and become a missile that follows DL guidance more reliably, I would actually consider even that a nerf…

After 2 years of tech mods closing and ignoring my reports, because of course some inaccurate and outdated British documents based on early design estimate and early prototypes / initial production (which later had to be redesigned due to insufficient structural strength) said otherwise …

What the heck so I was right? Wasn’t expecting a present this month but I’ll accept it.

FLS: Luft-Luft Lenkwaffe AMRAAM Teil 2 1986-1994. Any clue on whats inside?

Try in game? Because statshark missile calc is very obviously flawed in a lot of ways

it is noticeably better (this was a C-5)

All ARH missiles fly sideways now. Better than short range IR missiles

Ok, i think this is just a bug and AMRAAMS AOA would be same in live server after update, though it kinda reminds of the time AIM-120C5 was first added, didn’t that also have similar kind of pull in dev?
