The AIM-120 'AMRAAM' - History, Design, Performance & Discussion

C and above should be smokeless like the 9m
Since they share the same propellent if am not wrong
Aim 54c is low smoke

Iirc the Mica has a bit less smoke than the AMRAAMs from the datamines

Yeah it leaves a shorter trail, don’t remember if it’s also a little bit clearer, but I’m almost sure it is.

I don’t know enough about British missiles to comment, but if ASRAAM is meant to be a modular missile like Kh-38M then based on their current “Standards” I think it could be added.

I don’t lie, Lying implies malice and purposefully spreading misinformation.
If I’m incorrect, just tell me I’m wrong.

That’s a shame. :p

I was unaware of this. Last I had read a lot of the Forum mods had come in agreeance that it was a Thermal seeker as opposed to the laser one.

Let’s not make this into a Kh-38 thread, if you wanna respond to me, please do it in my DMs.

No it can’t usually Gaijin requires proof that each specific plane can carry and use a weapon

Ah. I see.

But it’s Gaijin so the only consistent standards are double standards

truth nuke.

120A and 120B share same motor power even when the B is reduced smoke?

yes

because the A is also reduced smoke

kinda funny how mica is the only fox 3 that has reduced smoke

it literally doesn’t

me when i spread misinformation

it literally does. you can test it out yourself

amraam has a much, much thicker trail that lasts for much longer than micas

first your videos literally show that. It doesnt have reduced smoke

Amraam just has longer burn time

In game files none of those missiles have reduced smoke

you can clearly see the trail is much shorter for mica and it’s less thick.

if that’s not reduced smoke then idk what is

ill post a second video that’s not side by side and you can see the difference

Mica:

AMRAAM:

The Amraam motor residue clearly stays in the skies for longer and its smokier/thicker compared to MICA.
Mica literally gets a low smoke motor dude.

All AMRAAM use reduced smoke motors, and the AIM-9M motor has too little smoke in usual conditions. None of it is remotely correct.

You stated your beliefs as fact despite them being verifiably wrong. If you aren’t sure about something, don’t state them to be fact when you don’t actually know and people wont accuse you of lying.

We’re getting off-topic though, so i’ll leave it at that.

Why lie so obviously when this can literally be checked by anyone super easily?

MICA does have reduced smoke vs all other fox 3’s, just like its also the only top tier fox 3 with an improved seeker. Gaijin has a demonstrably clear bias towards the Rafale and its weapons.
