KA-52 doesnt have LDIRCM
but the MI8, MI28NM, and Z10ME did get LDIRCM before 64E was added

The environment before LDIRCM was already glaringly redundant
Plus theres just the fact we could get something better than the AH-64E
that is why. we don’t need another hellfire slinger at a high BR without LDIRCM, or even with.
and before you bring up the 179 SAL… it doesn’t exist. a vehicle centered around a munition with lowered capability for “balancing” reasons is not something i would like to see.
they are pretty good, but at longer ranges the higher zoom (83.7X vs 63.5X) on AH-1Z helps with target ID, and keeping the autotracking from jumping between targets clustered together

while it might not be that big of a difference I still do feel more comfortable with the optics on the 1Z
and they also do have a slightly higher minimum zoom which helps a lot if you dont have scroll bound to zoom
At it’s current configuration, it could probably go even lower to 11.3 considering the Israeli 64A can use MAW+stingers. Realistically it can go down to 11.7 without any issue.
The Apaches going down by .3 was a very good move by the devs but I don’t understand why they didn’t do the same for the viper.
Though in my opinion it should stay at 12.0 and get the JAGM-MR (SAL). It’ll be a decent competitor to the Ka52 although both are getting shafted by the advanced IR missile slingers
