Very simple suggestion, being able to steer your TGP while in the cockpit view, as long as you have the correct MFD selected, also allowing you to stabilise and Un stabilise the camera, allowing sim players to play fully from the cockpit, maybe even see the removal of the TGP view in sim (extra immersion always helps).
With the new change to the Radar UI, I think this could take a similar route, with a single key-bind which allows the mouse to be used to aim the TGP, where the sensitivity depends on zoom level, using the mouse ensures players can have as much accuracy as possible and also allows players to use a joystick to steer the camera. Then two other key-binds could be added to steer the camera without the mouse so players can manoeuvre their aircraft
As I said, all of this can be done through the corresponding MFD, e.g. Litening
Then for aircraft with Mavericks that have a display for mavericks, such as A10 and Viggen, they could also add this to steer the missiles seeker, as one would do IRL, similarly with aircraft with an FLIR such as Harrier II.
This allows another level of immersion, especially when performing ground missions, attacking convoys or playing ground-sim, that will give the game that little bit more realism. Even better, for aircraft that this system would work well on, they could even fully remove the TGP view, of course some aircraft wouldn’t work due to having WSOs that control the TGP, so the pilot can’t see the MFD, for these aircraft they could retain the TGP display. But for aircraft like the A10, F15s and 16s, all the top tier fighters, we really don’t need the rather boring and generic TGP view anymore
