Aiming anywhere to the right side of the hull one shots, and you can functionally disable it permanently by shooting the ammo box or atgm

Yes the trunnions that got added for nato mbt’s and dissable gun elevation and such does not do that for soviet mbt’s since they added them but didnt give them functionallity. Se the trunnion just eats your entire round instead of the breach being taken out.

The “it did nothing” shots happen to every vehicle, but they are very very rare.
Pretty much any hit kills a Russian MBT in the game, whether it’s a fuel explosion, ammo day, or crew kill.

Sure, cause APHE is broken af. But that dosnt change the way gaijin is handling belts.
If they would let me customise my belt i would go with APDS/APHE/APDS/APHE/HE on the left barrel and the opposite, starting with HE on the other barrel… but they dont allow it.

These bullcrap shots happen cause of server not in sync with player (packet loss, ping, server crapped into his pants and a standart server lag that is pretty high in this game)+ a certain random factor on shrapnell spread and likely also a rnd factor of of much dmg the main penetrator does.
But most is server and second to that is rnd spread.
Fourth would be crew lvl, when hans survives a 120mm dart into the head again.
But the stuff with russian tanks is not wrong… cause the main issue here is that the carusell eats the dart and stops it from penetrating the carusell on the other side of the carusell again. And it also eats all the shrapnel ofc.
And if i remember it was even acknowledge at some point from gaijin or a mod that this is a “bug” or “feature” that is unrealistic and “supposed” to be different… same with MGs that are not supposed to eat up every single round no matter what u shot at it. There is a ton of “black hole” modules in the tanks that shouldnt work like they do… but they do…
and on some vehicles its very obvious that they do this module stuff on purpose. Same also the other way around to make stuff weaker… just look at the turret ring of the hstvl or rdf… there a fucking whole sheet metal that if u shot that it knocks out the module “horizontal drive”… like what? Since when does a sheet metal have anything to do with the drive? tf. But this way they make sure that any hit will knock that module out. Same for a lot of tanks with basket turrets… if any part of the metal below gets damaged, the whole module gets destroyed for whatever reason.
Another excample i found right now is the t58… the whole autoloader has a model, but no Volumetric or function to it… like its air…
theres also plenty of vehicles with plain missing modules, while already having the “detailed” models.
Thats all used to “balance” stuff or make stuff more attractive to buy.
All that makes it pretty random at times.
I mean who hadnt had a shot where the APHE bounced of the track into the engine and then turned around to go into the kommander? we all had that happen already xD
And we please dont forget the magic APHE bug we had recently, where armor was not calculated when the target drove backwards xD
