I believe the two new Soviet Terminators should receive a combat rating of 11.7. A tank surrounded by Relic armor, which is impenetrable in the front even by modern shells, shouldn’t be rated at 10.3. Imagine what would happen if it were rated at 9.3?
The Terminators are rated at 10.3. The Bradley is at the same BR. An M3 Bradley with a Bushmaster cannon can’t even penetrate the side of a Terminator. And TOV2 missiles barely penetrate it in the front. These tanks are absolutely incomparable in terms of combat rating.
Secondly, the Terminator has four missiles that fly straight and fast, unlike the Bradley, which has only two missiles that first fly downward and then upward.
Thirdly, the Terminator can fire all its missiles while moving. With the Bradley, you have to stop, hold the gun for a couple of seconds, and only then fire.
Overall I would agree that the BR of 10.3 is quite low. Both BMPTs have a big design flaw though, where you can hit the ammo by shooting the belt running through the unarmored turret housing.
Depending on if this doesn’t lead to an ammo rack on the live server, it’s BR has to be increased and it’s classification as a TD removed.
Only reason I don’t like the TD classification is because through that it will get an ammo box to reload the Atakas and 30mm, which makes it quite unique compared to all other “IFVs” and a lower SP cost I think.
A light tank classification gives it a lot of other benefits, which might actually be better… idk
personally I feel the ammo box is less effective than the benefits of a light tank
plus currently the bmpt only gets 4 missiles with no internal reload, but the bmp2m gets 8 missiles
personally, I think the Terminators is fine at 10.3, it’s a slightly worse bmp2m. It’s just that the M3 Bradley should go down to 9.3 for the longest time ever, but that’s a separate issue.
If you ask me, i think its a pretty much on the level of BMP-2M, just because it has only 4 missiles, it cannot reverse, its overall mobility is bad and it doesnt get APFSDS. If it gets APFSDS it could very well be 10.7 but 11.7 is just wayyy to much.
I agree that they should not be 10.3, but I can’t really be sure on where I would place it because they aren’t finished. 10.7 or 11.0 would probably be my pick.
idk why Relikt should make any difference, you aren’t penning the glacis plate of a 72B '89 or T-80UD with most standard rounds this BR and that’s just Kontakt-5
only APDS (which on the 2A42 is cheeks especially this high in BR), nigh guaranteed explosion if you pen the LFP and cannot reverse if it gets in trouble or the guns disabled
No APFSDS, it can be frontpenned via the same methods of the T-72 and T-90 and would only be a slightly harder target in a full downtier, but still an easy kill for a remotely skilled player.
It can be side-penned by the Bradley’s APFSDS. It also only has 4 missiles, no more. Bradley has about 8 missiles if I remember, and top attack can easily kill it from the top.
It’s a BMP-2M with more armor and less missiles, that are worse.
I can say 10.3 is probably low, but 11.7 is too high. 10.7 will be fine; 2A4’s can make easy work with DM darts.
