I recently got a 3 day game ban for team killing probably bcs of the banwave. I saw that there was no way to dispute this. I want to preface this by saying I don’t try to teamkill but it happens every now and then because of accidents ergo aim-120 loses track on guy I locked and goes pit bull on teammate or aim 9 gets flared by enemy and goes for teammate and I tk them. There isn’t any actual way to reduce or mitigate this since I have no control over what my missile does whence it’s off the rail, and it said my account can become permanently blocked in the future if I keep it up. If team killing is such an issue, and I know this is a gross oversimplification but can’t they just remove for gameplay reasons ? I don’t want to risk my account I’ve sank money and time into just to get banned for something that I can’t even control. I really love this game and I want to turn my brain of and smamraam again.
I agree with this post. I think they’ve have gone a bit to far with the teamkilling policies. How about Gaijin fixes the tracking huh?
Team killing exist for realism purposes, I don’t know why isn’t present in Ground battles, except by Simulator mode, but, as I read from another guy, don’t launch the missile if a friendly is near;
And the game has a excuse acceptance system, what I mean is: You team kill someone > Send a excuse request by pressing T by the moment a pop-up appears in the screen > The team killed ally accepts it > You don’t get penalized by this team killing (in the paper);
I guess Gaijin should take a better look on this interaction system and take in account if the allied replied to the excuse or not.
It does seem stupid for accidental teamkills counting towards suspensions. 90% of my teamkills are from my sidewinders changing target onto the random friendly 2km further away, I didn’t get a temp ban thankfully but I do thing it would be better to either ensure accidental teamkills are not punishable or just remove teamkills from everything but sim in its entirety. the argument that “its realistic mode” doesn’t sit as tanks cant shoot friendly tanks so it doesn’t really make sense for planes to be able to bomb and shoot friendly planes and tanks.
Because a certain something happened in 2014… which caused a certain base of players to target another base of players so they had to go nuclear to remove it because entire teams were being wiped by intentional TK’s
So far as the OP
3. DAMAGE TO TEAMMATES, “FRIENDLY FIRE”
3.1. These War Thunder specific rules expressly prohibit causing damage to teammates or so-called “friendly fire” in a Game, including, without limitation, the following actions: inflicting damage to teammates’ vehicles or any of their parts, destroying teammates’ vehicles or any of its parts, disorienting teammates. Please note that damaging teammates is forbidden even if the damaging functionality is technically allowed in a Game.
3.2. The sanctions for violating the above-mentioned rule are automatically imposed by the in-game system that analyzes the Player’s in-game behavior. In exceptional cases, the Administration may manually evaluate the alleged violation and set the corresponding sanction.
3.3. The rule in paragraph 3.1 above also applies to certain Game events (official streams, championships, etc.) officially announced and sanctioned by the Administration. In some cases, during such Game events, the in-game punishment system mentioned above may be disabled, and the participants will not be punished for minor or insignificant violations. However, the Administration may always impose the Game Access Restriction for a period from 3 to 7 days on a Player who causes damage or destroys a teammate during such Game events.
Tbh they’re going too far with that, even if it’s real TK sometimes it’s the only way to deal with toxic/bully players in the chat
Complain system exist for a reason.
I know i know, but as we can all see everday the racism or other type of harassment of the community is still a BIG problem, Gaijin are better to ban teamkillers then racist or peoples who make death threats for random reasons.
How are you racking up enough accidental tks to trip a ban? You must be doing it like 6 times a day.
Have you tried not doing this?
It does but they will only ban if it is a large amount. After a certain point, it becomes gross negligance.
1: there was a massive ban wave which temp banned me and a lot of people so no it wasn’t because I suddenly team killed my whole team, which I said in the beginning of the post as well as this is my first every ban from the game
2: the spamraam comment was a joke obviously I don’t turn my brain off and rail off 8 radar missiles in the beginning of the match
3: it’s a video game man and an arcade one at that you shouldnt have to make sure all friendlies are 6 miles out like this is a NATO training exercise every time you want to launch a missile and in top tier that’s physically impossible the way fur balls are the dominant method of air combat
Yes. They banned those that did tks on purpose or did it a lot.
Maybe dont throw ARH into a furball? There are plenty of times to use them where there is no chance of hitting a teammates. I think i have gotten maybe 3-4 ARH tks total.
Even through all of this, you shouldnt even be getting enough of those to get a ban. If you got banned, it was not for 2 accidental tks in the last month.
Huh? Many people I who I’ve talked that don’t tk or if they do it’s a mistake got banned as well so that’s not true and I’d say it happens once or twice every 2 weeks
I used the aim120 as an example I also have rarely ever teamkilled people with ARH missiles and I know that’s a bad idea lol. I’m mainly talking about infared guided missiles . Plus people are extremely kill hungry and show up out of nowhere so I can’t even avoid hitting them
You must understand that I will find this to be hard to believe. This happens every ban wave.
You do get those annoying people who block your shots. Best thing to do is watch for where people are heading and likely to head. Not 100% but I still hardly ever get a teamkill. This is even with stuff like the r27et which i fire out from up to 8km away.
Yea I had I completely understand there are many posts of people just typing their feelings into a forum post. i promise I’m not an “airfield method” TikTok lobotomite
But I wouldn’t put it above people spam reporting too. Chat arguments get kinda heated sometimes
I am referring the flood of “i never cheated why was i banned” and “i let my friend play for a bit and they must of cheated”.
I dont think you are going out of your way to teamkill for reddit karma or something.
Some people really love to report things on the forum for some reason. I understand the idea behind community reporting but it doesnt work too well in practice.
lol its the “ ohh my finger slipped and I downloaded wallhacks why was I banneddddd :(((((((“ type of post
Good talking to you man
