The only 3 bases Frontline winter map without ai planes is Lagoda.
But i don’t get your point in mentioning this as you correctly stated that there are no ai planes there. I won there a few days ago with 10:0 (yes, no typo) tickets (~12 minutes) as 2 friendly Pe-2s killed one base more than the enemy and a friendly Firefly killed 11 ground units.
The enemy team was too stupid to neutralize our ticket advantage despite they played 6-7 vs 2. Tickets melted away as the ai ground units killed each other very fast (as alwyas) …epic match regarding the outcome:
They changed the layout years ago…not longer available…
Have in mind that there is a huge spread between ticket bleed on non-respawning and respawning bases.
So i am not sure what your goal is as teamkilling own ai planes will get you kicked and therefore killing them in order to deny them to kill ticket bearing enemy ground units (in order to kill them with a player aircraft to reduce enemy tickets) makes just sense in theory.
In reality we just deal with game mechanics implemented by guys who either don’t play their game or have never heard about things like testing or quality management…
It’s all theory and thoughts lol. If my logic is correct, the only result would be having a conclusion saying “existing game mechanics doesn’t make sense” which is common in 2025 xD
Could be this one. At this moment I found that we can be out of kill-able ai before ticket bleeds to 0 (dunno if it can happen on larger maps), and we already know that AI attackers kill both soft and hard targets. Combining these 2 may give out what I was concerning.
as i always say: Gaijin should add an AI or smth to determine if the TK was intencional or accidental, since when u’re playing toptier, sometimes ur missiles can go against teammates by no reason (ARH missiles switching between ally and enemy cuz they passed one each other too close / IR missiles switching between ally and enemy cuz one of them had its rear clear and IRCCM missiles, even if the can go front-aspect, actually always try to go for rear-aspect since its the cleanest one to get the kill).
a random player here in the forums just sent me a replay of a F/A-18A gameplay and when he launched one of his AIM-7Ms at an enemy, the missile LITERALLY just turned its 25G to the nearest teammate.
Nah ai is bad and unreliable
(If you’re wondering nope I don’t have a better solution, but I’d rather no solution than some ai that will make bad decisions and make it even more frustrating)
In October 2025, the game was temporarily banned for 14 days due to team killing. After the ban was lifted, I played for approximately one week. During this period, there were several instances of team killing caused by artillery support, and immediately after that, my account was penalized for 14 days. Could you please tell me if there is a penalty threshold or reputation score for the account in this game? What should I do to avoid being penalized? No one can guarantee that there won’t be any accidental injury to friendly forces in future gameplay. As players, how should we avoid this penalty mechanism? How long of good gaming behavior is required to restore the reputation score of our accounts?
stop teamkilling. The odd TK via artillery is 1 thing, but multiple in a single week is… excessive. You need to learn to stop dropping artillery danger close on your allies. Like, even when I played hardcore I would TK with artillery maybe once every couple of weeks or even months.
So does this game have a penalty threshold? I noticed that my account is now very easily subject to penalties. Is there some kind of program running in the background to monitor my account? Since my first penalty, I have been easily punished again and again.
Does this game’s penalty mechanism have any “memory” function? Will my account be restored to a “good reputation” status if I don’t trigger a team kill for a longer period of time?

And no, there is no such thing as “hidden credit”, the duration of teamkilling ban is issued base on previous violation - frequent teamkillers will get longer punishment, the only way not getting banned is stay civil in battle and try not to harm your teammates.
Then how can I judge the future gameplay? No one can guarantee that there won’t be a team massacre at any point during the long gameplay period. We can’t just keep playing with constant fear, can we? So what exactly is this so-called penalty standard?
Hello, could you please help me inform the staff with management authority to remove the ban imposed due to the team killing? This account has been with me for 13 years and I have made a total of over 5000 US dollars in deposits. I don’t want to lose this expensive account. I will continue to make purchases in future games. I have always been a loyal player of War Thunder.
Hey what happened to forgive and forget, If wasn’t intentional why should someone’s account be banned ?
I’ve had my share of mistakes some of them huge, but they were never intended. So how do you not persecute simple screw ups that happen a lot lol, dog fight screwup’s, threw down arty and didn’t see the scout hiding in wait for the enemy, ect ect. How do you sort out the folks that are pushing such behavior on purpose (bored kids) who knows. Just saying there has to be a better way of finding these types of players and removing them, not the guy that didn’t mean to. Might ask them first, and go from there ?
i still remember a random lvl 100 that tried to kill me cuz i stole his base which i actually marked at the start of the match before him.
we were both flying the NF-5A and after i bombed the first base, he tried to kill me with his 2 AIM-9Ns and after dodging both of them, he started firing at me. i can swear he spent like 200 bullets trying to get me, he had absurdly bad aim and when he tried to land (when i was already dead) he crashed (lol karma).
tbh he could have used his AIM-9Ns to get a kill, which gives better rewards and more score than a base (specially if u’re bombing with napalm like me and him).
I believe TKs bans are reviewed if it comes to the point of a lengthy ban.
Moreover, if a player has many team-kills accumulated in the last week that’d be something to check out on the player’s side, getting one TK in a day due to a mistake, a bug or the missile/teammate not being smart enough is alright, but having more is either lack of skill or made on purpose.
So basically, if you get a TK by mistake then it shouldn’t be an issue, but if you get too many it is something to be reviewed, as team killing by mistake isn’t as easy as it seems.
