Team killing policy - follow up thread

Hello, could you please help me inform the staff with management authority to remove the ban imposed due to the team killing? This account has been with me for 13 years and I have made a total of over 5000 US dollars in deposits. I don’t want to lose this expensive account. I will continue to make purchases in future games. I have always been a loyal player of War Thunder.

Stop killing team mates.
Problem solved.

Hey what happened to forgive and forget, If wasn’t intentional why should someone’s account be banned ?
I’ve had my share of mistakes some of them huge, but they were never intended. So how do you not persecute simple screw ups that happen a lot lol, dog fight screwup’s, threw down arty and didn’t see the scout hiding in wait for the enemy, ect ect. How do you sort out the folks that are pushing such behavior on purpose (bored kids) who knows. Just saying there has to be a better way of finding these types of players and removing them, not the guy that didn’t mean to. Might ask them first, and go from there ?

i still remember a random lvl 100 that tried to kill me cuz i stole his base which i actually marked at the start of the match before him.
we were both flying the NF-5A and after i bombed the first base, he tried to kill me with his 2 AIM-9Ns and after dodging both of them, he started firing at me. i can swear he spent like 200 bullets trying to get me, he had absurdly bad aim and when he tried to land (when i was already dead) he crashed (lol karma).

tbh he could have used his AIM-9Ns to get a kill, which gives better rewards and more score than a base (specially if u’re bombing with napalm like me and him).

Karma has a good habit of that lol Love it.

I believe TKs bans are reviewed if it comes to the point of a lengthy ban.
Moreover, if a player has many team-kills accumulated in the last week that’d be something to check out on the player’s side, getting one TK in a day due to a mistake, a bug or the missile/teammate not being smart enough is alright, but having more is either lack of skill or made on purpose.
So basically, if you get a TK by mistake then it shouldn’t be an issue, but if you get too many it is something to be reviewed, as team killing by mistake isn’t as easy as it seems.

So this come from a little incident a just 6 hours before this.
In the middle of battle (britain and germany vs the world basically I was chasing an La-5 on my BF-109 g-14 and while this happened we both passed without knowing into a my allied spitfire’s stream of bullets. The bullets weren’t even meant for any of us but to a T18. the spitfire connected some bullets into me (without me knowing) and I got a yellow wingtip (really pale yellow), Later I crashed into a tree while dodging another T18s rounds and the kill went for my ally, I felt bad because the dude had 2 kills so he 100% went into the negatives and we were both confused. I checked the replay and sure, I saw the probably 7.7 round connect that costed the dude an entire game of SL earned.

So I open a little Poll to know if accepting the TK apology should remove the penalty.

Accepting a TK apology should remove / reduce penalties to the offender
  • Yes
  • Partially reduced (by how much?)
  • No, let the random and jolly fellow rot in hell

Accidental TKs from when a teammate lemming runs into your artillery shouldnt give SL punishment and accepting apology should remove the SL penalty too

I thought accepting already remove the sl punishment

Yup - I almost always warn players about artillery. If they still go to the location and die, I don’t lose any sleep over it. Mind you I play 8.0 and below, so loss of SLs does not impact me much.

Reduce by 25% if the apology is accepted within 15 seconds

same. Most of my TKs is of m18 lemmings rusing a point im clearing with artillery (the enemy would have killed them if the arty didnt)

Giving the apology shouldn’t reduce it, but accepting it should

Yeah, that’s the point of the tread
Did I missword it?

The amounts of times I have been TK’d by a level 6 who doesn’t know how to use arty appropriately is just sad. I wish those poor guys didn’t need to pay for their accidents like that. +1

there is a certain ammount of TK’s you can do in a match before you get kicked from it

but if the teammate that got TKed accepts teh apology it wont be added to the “TK counter”

I voted No. I don’t apologise when I tk someone - mistake or not. I pay up that SL, and I expect others to do so as well. With the economy changes, SL is easy to make, so it’s a non-issue, really.

Two tks and you’ll be kicked, from my experiences (dropping big bombs in city maps).

How about teamkilling a Nuke?

Shooting at the a friendly nuke plane should instantly reflect the damage back to you with no damage dealt to the nuke, be kicked from the match, AND suffer the TK penalty x2. The only people who should be allowed to shoot down the nuke plane are enemies, teammates being salty you got a nuke should be afforded maximum penalties.
