Tank Exhaust Smoke Color Is Incorrect

The exhaust from most tanks, especially diesel-powered ones, should generally be dark or black smoke, but in the game it is shown as white smoke instead.

Not really unless something is seriously wrong with the engine (over rich).

The exaggerated exhaust smoke is a game “tell” to make visual spotting easier.

No it’s usually white/grey.
Might get some puffs of black smoke under heavy acceleration or if running rich as mentioned previously.

not true. they should be white (or slightly blue from burnt oil)

also, ESS is from dumping diesel in the exhaust. That’s white

Listen to that engine sound and look at the color of the exhaust — now that’s what a Leopard 2 diesel engine should sound and look like.

Not a bug (yes I tried a while back)
