It can’t carry RVV-SDs? Or is it just never spotted/too early, since I know for sure they don’t use them very often.
The F-15E/I are definitly going to be the better aircrafts in air battles, but the Su-34 with 6x Kh-38M’s are likely to be much better in GFRB imo. I might be wrong on that point tho seeing as the F-15E also has mavs which it will be able to employ at their max potential.
TBF, anyone with half a braincell could see Grom-1’s would be bad for Russian air teams, as writing scripts for a bot to use them on takeoff and land, over and over is incredibly easy…
They didnt even actually have much of a gameplay purpose anyways in the current state of WT, and I believe gameplay should lead munitions and vehicles, not the other way around.
It can use them; even gaijin acknowledges its capability to do so in the [Development] post for it.
TBH, F15s will still be great, cause 1, AIM120s are just able to do the job of SPAA much better, so not like one can’t easily shoot Su34 out of the sky like a clay pigeon, and 2, Su34 does not have thermals, so despite the KH38s being insane, above 12KM range, it is near impossible to lock.
Thx for that, didn’t see, i was just talking about the picture, since RVV-SD is mainly a hardware update.
Should be able to carry a Копйо-ДЛ Type radar (Ground search radar system) and I believe is currently being upgraded to carry the SapSan targeting pod IIRC.
Hope they implement the Su-24’s ‘Puma’ system too.
That is a fair point, the AMRAAM’s do help it a lot and the lack of thermals do harm the Su-34. It does have some ground radar modes though and the cam does have good range, so it might not be terrible. As someone else pointed out tho, the Su-34 and F-15E/I are all leagues above the CAS basically every other nation gets at this point, to the point it kind of ridiculous theyre being added imo.
Doesn’t the Kh-38s have thermal view in the seekers?
The MT’s do iirc, as for what gen and what zoom they have, im not too sure, since the only aircraft that had them before had a targeting optic with thermals.
Thunderskills Thermal sheet shows the Su-34 with 3rd gen tho, which is either a mistake, or referencing the 38MTs I suppose?
In any case. The Su-34 is reliant upon TV only seeker view to unleash the KH-38s at moderate range. So overall, should be a very potent CAS that I’m not looking forward to encountering I’m the Stormer HVM or ADATS
Personally, I think the Kh-38’s were a silly addition to WT and have opened the door and given credibility to a lot of absurd munition requests. Standoff munitions have no place in GFRB, as they are by definition uncounterable by SHORAD systems. Mavs and Kh-29’s were already pushing it imo, bvut for a while mavs were held back by a lack of TGP and poor optics, and Kh-29’s by carriage capacity. Now players are asking for stuff like Spice 250/1000/2000 (all have a range above 60km, and the spice 250 can have up to 28 carried on the F-15I, leading to the ability to teamwipe with some munitions to spare from outside SHORAD range), AASM Hammer (over 70km range, similar to a Kh-38M but with almost 2x the range on jets with the best TGP in-game), Popeyes (78km range), etc…
None of those weapons would be fun to play against in any way, but the existence of the Kh-38Ms effectively require their inclusion in the near future, as most nations just simply dont have anything in the same class unless said munitions are added. I personally believe such munitions should be limited to air only gamemodes and used vs AI ground targets, allowing ppl to have their CAS jet power fantasies without obliterating any remaining semblance of balance in GFRB top tier.
Gameplay should lead weapon implementation, not the other way around.
Gaijin who at the 11th and 12th point gave the R-27T where it is not allowed to be hung. That’s the Gaijin who doesn’t know how canard work.
Are you sure?
Only can’t on the two outside wing pylons.
This is considering that the Kh-38 is also not properly implemented
This picture is nonsense, you can throw it away.
You have R-77s on the 7 and 8 point, which is impossible in reality
7-8 points aren’t wingtip, wingtip is usually always ECM
Not to mention it’s just a formatting error if you’d look closer XD
Here is a real Su-34 with R-77’s on the pylons it should be on:
While this is a model, it is also true to life:
7,8 The point is the wing tip, what you have in the photo is the 5 th and 6 th point. So your picture is crap
Moreover, the R-73 occupies the 7th and 8th points, which is true, as in reality. You can carry a missile, and you can carry an ECM.
Sorry; mean “7-8 are wing tip”*
Yet again, it’s simply the fact that the R-77’s aren’t formates in the spreadsheet properly.
No, it’s just the table’s crap, and the R-27s don’t specify which ones.
