In exchange for this they get subpar reloads, terrible reverse gears and depression, garbage gun handling except for the BVM, etc. Russian tanks aren’t good and especially a 10.7 at 12.0 isn’t going to perform well. Oops, that’s 12.7 now.

I highly doubt you have as much experience as I do playing the UD at top tier, my confidence in that matter is 100%. I’m also not specifically referring to skill but experience, don’t get offended next time.

Ask literally any experienced player, their strengths do not make up for their weaknesses. NATO tanks are superior and always have been.
I have far more experience across a variety of vehicles.

really? really? i only have 1 top tier (T80 U E1) and i’ve use 1 round at MANY hull down abrams, from roughly 1km away… and then i see the ‘target destroyed’ screen… Magik, do you use russian tanks and have you ever been agaist an abrams in a russian tank?
2S38 (and most high-pen autocannons) work at top tier, so I recommend that. It also functions as a lesser AA (as that is its intended role) having HE-VT and IRST lock. You can take out helicopters with relative ease and drones. Aircraft will be a bit harder unless its a close range CAS popping in and out of the battlefield. Taking out tanks will be a bit harder but generally NATO tanks are weak at the turret ring at the front.
T-80UD is definitely a vehicle. I would say that the Ka-50 is much better of a buy but T-80UD isn’t horrific. The armour is trolly but generally struggles against top tier APFSDS. The firepower is decent and it has decent survivability but you will find it a lot harder than the E1.
If I was going to get another USSR Vehicle besides 2S38, it’d be the T-80UK or BMP-2M. Both of these are squadron vehicles that perform well at the T-80UE-1’s BR. The T-80UK would be similar to the T-80UE-1 and the BMP-2M would perform a similar role as the 2S38, but being smaller with better anti-tank capability (30mm autocannon + high penetration ATGM). BMD-4M is also a decent alternative to it.
You should keep in mind that you have only enough sp to spawn two verhicles and third verhicle is become difficult if you don’t do any damage or cap. My recommendation is 2S38 and BMD-4M both are premium verhicle and lower br require less spawn point into battle.
thank you all! this is now my top tier line-up… i’ve done ~15 battles with this and i get AT LEAST 1 kill with the UD and 3 with the 2S38 (air and ground) iv’e killed like 4 JETS and ~7 helis… thanks again everyone!
