Ok so switching to RB not AB, the arena has 256 less horsepower. If we look at leopards, the 2a5 has 132 less horsepower than the 2a6. The br difference is 1.3 for the t72 and the leopards is 0.4. By this ratio, even though Gaijin doesn’t use this logic, the br difference between the two t-72 should be 0.7, not 1.3. And the T-72B3A can stay at 12.3 when it has the same pen as the T-80BVM at 12.7 but less armor so 12.3 but it has APS as a tradeoff. The UFP armor can stop dm53 in some places so it will survive uptiers to 12.7. So the Arena really should have been 11.7 and the TT stay at 12.3.

T-80BVM vs T-72B3A is not a tradeoff, the T-80BVM is so much better than the T-72B3A the only 0.3 BR difference is honestly criminal.
The T-72B3A is incredibly overtiered.

Where the T-72B3A deserves to be is a different question.
If it deserves to go down, then the arena should still only be 0.7 br lower than the a even though I think losing 100 Horsepower doesn’t mean a 0.3-0.4 br decrease in all the cases. 1.3 br decrease is way too much, even 1.0 is too much. The devs put it at 11.0 so it can take out spike missiles at that br. There’s no reasoning for a 1.3 br gap.

Oh I see the problem I didn’t get the engine modification upgrade, Im stupid. Ignore everything I said about the engine horsepower thing. But still 1.3 is outrageous for 256 horsepower loss.
290hp loss, loss of 70% of ERA side coverage + its K5 instead of Relikt, a slightly worse APS and a bit slower gun/turret traverse speed

Plus, as someone above pointed out, worse ERA quality and coverage too.

APS can only stop missiles, not darts, so it’s not that OP (plus it has very limited angles, so it’s like “u don’t have to take care about rockets”) and at least imo it’s very very rare to see a helicopter or a plane using missiles in 2026, since SPAAs can one tap them even with indirect fire, spawning in a one of those is like saying “yo come kill me”.

again, T-90A is at the same BR, with the same ugly reverse speed and it’s even better than the T-72B3 “Arena”, so if u ONLY complain about the T-72B3, then u’re rather ragebaiting or u seriously have a skill issue, there’s no way u can be a mature person and say this.

T-72B3A uses Relikt ERA while T-72B3 uses Contakt-5 which is WAY WAY worse.

The ztz99-2 to 3 have same -4 reverse, tho the acceleration is surely better

Both Arena and 99-2/3 are shit in my eyes.
I prefer to use Chally DS rather than those tanks at 11.0 despite having weaker shell,thermals, armor and gun handling.

USSR soapboxes sure are shit. Id rather play Challengers too, tho their L23 shells are something stupid AF. 105 with DM63 deals significanly better damage than this 120 and its ridiculous
