T58 is not OP

I have came across some posts on Reddit about how OP the T58 is.

The truth is, T58’s armor is not distinctively against fellow 8.3 tanks. I will compare it to M103 (which shares a chassis) and T95E1 (also 8.3).

I have generated some heatmap using different shells that may be encountered, range is 500m.

The truth is, T58’s armor is not very unique among the tanks.

From here, the hull armor is nothing special; The turret armor, just like its cousin M103, is mostly vulnerable in the middle. Otherwise, their hit-spots are very similar.

Next, the firepower while offering fast fire rate, is not that special. It has an APHE which is pretty nice, but the velocity and penetration are poor; it will be good against light MBTs like Leopards, but nothing special against the uparmored 8.3 Magach and German M48.

If the fast fire rate makes the T58 OP, then I think it is hypocritical to call it Op and not other tanks like the DF105 which also has fast fire rate.

The mobility is beyond bad, worse than M60s. I don’t need to talk about it here.
