Their phrasing about hull down is bad. The Chieftain does not need as much armor when it is invisible shooting with -10
-10 degrees is bogstandard depression, nothing to write home about, the chieftain can only go hulldown and it isnt even particularly good at it as most things can pen the composites cheeks just fine at 9.0.
Lol and the T55AM-1 is forced to drive in the open and on flat because it’s -5, simply amazing. AM-1 at 9.0 it has no armor either.
Why would someone be shooting your cheeks anyway? Think about it.
has as much armor as chieftain, and it has better composites, this with much better mobility and a smaller size. theyre both 9.0 material, t55am1 is better.
Brah, have you checked the protection of T-55AM against Chieftain’s APDS? It looks the same in this picture, the entire tank is green except for the composite plates on the turret. So this protection talk is irrelevant as both of them can kill each other as easily even when you choose to brawl head-on on, only disadvantage is the speed to get into position, which can be offset by using smoke shells to cover the route, try it and see if you still couldn’t get into sniping position. This tank is best played passive and camp.
When you compare the -10 vs the -5, it matters lol unless you compare the -10 against another -10, like what? no-gun depression is 100% disadvantage, there is no way to go around it bro

or maybe penetration is only a factor of what makes a tank good? -5 degress of depression is one factor too.

incredibly niche situation, if you arent carrying atgm in the t55am1 youre playing it wrong, its situationally good, youre absolutely clueless, and by the way i never said that you have the advantage against an hulldown mk10, you dont what i said is that youre far from unable to do anything.
