T1e1

Basically

… I know that some heavy tanks aren’t and isn’t meant to be tanky and able to survive every round coming towards them, but the T1E1 and it’s earlier variants?
Like I know that it has historically bad armor but, historically it shouldn’t have faced 20 enemy tiger H1s.
Yes it has two VERY good cannons and three 50s but I don’t see them being much compensation.
I would prefer it at 5.0 or maybe even 4.7 however the cannon would probably be too good for that br range. 5.3 would be a improvement atleast then it wont face tiger H1s and such in every match.

I’d love to have a civil discussion without people saying “you’re just bad” cause that’s not a argument since I doubt ever single person that complains about a vehicle suck at the game.

m36 is 5.3, same gun on mostly better hull makes it 5.7

T1E1s arent about armor.

They are about their great reverse speed and either 76mm with short stop stab or 90mm at 5.7.

Play them like heavy mediums and they will shine.

I personally run the 90mm version for that extra punch.

The reload/gun and the reverse speed make it hold that BR. I think it’s fine where it is

you need to reverse it into battle and pray the enemy shoots the engine

youre wondering why a 1940 Heavy tank is susceptable to a mkV 6pdr gun? That guns first saw combat in 1942 of course it would be capable of shredding much older heavies.

I think youve fallen for the age old lie that heavy tanks were meant to be shot at, they werent

Play like a slower medium tank. not an assault tank

I’ve heard the slower medium tank thing every where, but it’s so easy to say something but the fact of the matter is that it’s wayy to slow to be played as a medium tank.

And like I said it was never meant to face 20 tigers without any supporting infantry, and gajin seem to balance it’s tanks like everyone plays every tank equally. (I would elaborate but I wont cause I forgot my point, might remember later)

That’s what everyone says about every tank ever
this game is just a assault game basically, you don’t gain much from being support and saving allies
while you might try to stick to the recommended strategy it won’t let you gain much.
Besides in most cases when backline tanks are engaging in combat the match is already decided and either the enemy killed your allies and five IS-1s and Panzer IVs are coming for you with victory and stupidity in mind or your allies have killed the enemy and your left scarping the two rats they missed or just trying to kill the ones who just spawned.

sure that might represent it in a worse way than it actually is, but most of the time you’re not going to have as much of a impact as you could

And you don’t see anything wrong with that?

I’ve encountered a bit of a inconvenience. rounds that 100% should ricochet are not ricocheting on the T1E1 so even that barley works, might just be gajin shenanigans but since I don’t have proof other than my confirmation bias I will leave this up to speculation

the Heavy cruiser playstyle is one that either comes naturally or you kinda just have to force. As a british main I live in the perpetual slow medium playstyle so i know its certainly not for everyone

no tank is meant to work in an individual, and trust me you can hammer a Tiger tank in any variant of the M6, they are surprisingly soft targets once you learn how to deal with them

Assists and scouts + marking of targets pay decently in rewards while also helping your team more than you can imagine

yeah helping the team, not yourself, we need incentive. To be clear I wasn’t talking about helping your team in general but helping your team as a T1E1 or it’s various. Marking targets on the map leaves you vulnerable for a few seconds and your team is unreliable tbh, you can never predict what they do so a marking is more of a gamble

The incentive is that if your team does better, so do you. you win more. can positon better as youre not getting pushed back and less enemies are going to get into CAS (admittedly this is more important when facing american CAS noobs with their bomber payloads on fighters) while your team gets more CAS (usually hurts american teams as they all go into planes too damn often)

Your team does better is not a incentive, like look we have hindsight so we can act like we do everything so good and so great and that we’re the nicest people ever but in reality when in the “feild” we are short slighted, because we’re human. You’re obviously going to do whatever you can to get the most amount of rp. If I can choose between saving my self or saving my teamate that has a better chance at surviving than me (after being saved) I will choose myself and many others would save themselves because that will help us, humans are by nature self interested that’s why gajin should incentivise players to help more.

I should get some rest so whatever counter arguments you make, I’ll respond tmrrw
good night and good luck.

yes it is.

If you win you get more SL and RP making the grind faster

I play it like i play most other tanks, flanking.

I do what i can to avoid fighting everything head on. The 76 works decently.
