a combination of objective performance of the tank and global statistics. Take the ariete AMV for example: it’s objectively the worst 12.3 tank in game, not even a competition, and yet it has 60%+ winrate as well as 2+ k/d. Why? Because the only players to play that tank are diehard fans of italy who have grinded out (and suffered through) the whole techtree and thus are far more likely to be good at the game. Why do premium tanks often have worse/much worse k/d’s compared to techtree counterparts? Because premium players are much more likely to be new to the br and play awfully, ruining the global statistics, especially if it’s a harder tank to play. Global statistics alone isn’t a reliable source of information because players are a subjective measure, objective performance alone as well isn’t a reliable source as gaijin has to conform to players. Both have to be analysed to form an opinion
Missing the fact that lfp shots have higher chance to ammo rack t72 and not t80, because t80 ammo is located higher. Add to that ud armor. T72 ammo placement doesnt help much because its t72a hull with k1. Dm33 and better rounds can front pen you with ease without having to aim for certain spots. And then its ammorack or driver + commander/gunner.
no, its how players perform with the vehicle, its not its objective performance which will always stem from its kit.
F/A-18C early has objectively good kit for its BR, people are debating whenever it should go to 13.0, yet the average KD for December 2025 is 0.77. Why? Because people who cant pour the water out of boot with instructions written on the heel are using it wrong, for example as napalm bomber. That obviously brings down its stats.
Which neatly brings me to another point I wanted to make - T-80UD is premium. It is much more accessible than TT vehicles, and with how game (or rather progress through TT) is, people will flock to it, people with zero experience with vehicles over BR of 1.3. That also brings down it stats.
You have tank which requires some nuance to its playstyle, that its premium on top of it, and of course its global stats will look bad and not representative of its actual objective performance.
Fun fact, T-80UD has KD of 1.25 and winrate of 52% for December 2025.
so even if all of the above applies, people perform in it well over global average
I think your issue, as its always with these kinds of arguments, is that you havent played any other nation beside Russia and China, so you havent faced T-80UD that much, if at all.
I dont like the argument of “you havent played it so you cant have opinion on it”, but you should do some self-reflection and ask yourself whenever you have experienced actually fighting T-80UD. Like I would actually love to see you fight T-80UD in Leo 1A5, VFM5 or Kpz70 because im willing to bet actual money on the fact you would be immidiately screaming about how T-80UD is OP.

AND somehow the Turms III dodged another BR change. That thing is way too OP for it BR…
T-80UD was absurd at 10.3, even for a Russian MBT that thing was vastly more armoured than equvilents. The reload buff has tipped some of the stronger tanks over the edge, a good player gets in one and gobbles up whole teams.

It has bad WR/KD for the same reason the 2S38 and TURMS do. They’re part of the Russian 10.3 premium line up that was incredibly popular with new and inexperienced players. Well, was.

Win rate has nothing to do with how good a specific vehicle is.
Players using an OP vehicle poorly doesn’t change it being OP.
You have a 1.7:1 KDR in T-80UD while your average KDR is 1.3:1.

No, 2S38 has a bad KDR cause it’s an autocannon tank and can’t compete with MBTs in lethality.
And TURMS has a poor KDR because it’s a mid 10.3.

You realize that AVERAGES are not that useful, especially for a very popular premium vehicle that MOST players who purchase it use to skip the entire tech tree, and have absolutely NO idea what they are doing, right?
You are using statistics the wrong way, completely. The T-80UD in a competent player’s hands is very, very good. Not even a GOOD player, just a mildly OK player.

You have a 50% win rate, with a 1.73 K/D and 1.15 K/S, both in the positive. It is fine. You are doing fine with it. Just be honest and say YOU want it lower. Do not try and gaslight the forums with “evidence” that is worthless, just because YOU want your vehicle to have a lower BR. Just say it directly and honestly. We will have a lot more respect for your posts if you don’t hide your true intentions.

FURTHERMORE, and finally, you have been improving VERY well in Ground Realistic battles. Honestly, the chart showing how steeply and consistently your rating has been increasing is admirable. You are getting MUCH better every single time you play. You don’t need the vehicle to be buffed/lowered in BR. You might not be an “excellent” player YET, but you are WELL on your way to being very good.
