I like the tank, i do not like the idea of a tank that has one of it’s most well known pictures be one where it proudly flies a NATO flag to be in the Soviet tech tree though, the closest i think it could go is with the Germans but otherwise i suppose i’d have to pass on it.

I find that putting it under the banner of a NATO ally is the best bet.
If Germany won’t do, Italy is the next best option in my opinion since it is both a NATO ally and was involved in the modernization of the tank, but i did see someone mention Israel further up the thread because they too played a part in modernizing the tank.
I very much oppose the creation of a new tech tree for this, i do not see how it is a good idea to add more half tech trees.

You’re suggesting rather than add Czechoslovakia under USSR (Like adding Palestine to Israel as subtree) to rather add Czechoslovakia under Germany (like adding Lebanon under Israel as subtree), it is stupid idea and would cause intense backlash.
Czechoslovakia has enough vehicles to be it’s independent tech tree, only for ground they have over 530 vehicles avaliable just for ground, most of which is not copy paste.
The biggest tech trees in War Thunder right now is USA, which currently has around 440 vehicles of all classes

I firmly oppose the creation of another tech tree for what in the end is “just because” or “i feel like my country is significant enough”.
A lot of vehicles that are in those new tech tree proposals are either a lot of minor variations of the same tank, are just soviet/american/french/british vehicles, sometimes are as far as i know completely ficticious(Tiger with Skoda A18 gun) or vehicles that in my humble opinion have no place in the game(for example the OT-64A in it’s APC configuration).
On top of that, getting those new vehicles would be kind of a chore because you have to start a whole new tech tree and can’t use the premiums you might already have to help you progress.
If Germany is a no go according to you i think Italy makes a fine alternative, it is a NATO ally and was involved with the modernization of the tank and i’d support the addition of this tank under the Italian banner.
So your saying that you don’t see Czechoslovakia as “significant” enough?

What is this argument, it does not make sense at all. There are 10 tech trees in war thunder, if you do not have all of them unlocked of course you gotta start all over again.
Makes zero sense at all, not politically, not historically, the T-72M4 CZ is heavily upgraded T-72, does not make sense to put it under Italy

Here’s Tadmats suggestion of a standalone Czechoslovakian tree, it can very well stand shoulder to shoulder with the larger ground trees (note it’s still missing quite a few vehicles)
Italy already has 2 subtrees and doesn’t really have a strong link (only thing I could think would be Czechoslovakia selling Italy one of the Kolohousenkas).

I am talking about this tank alone and not a Czech/Czechoslovak subtree.
I’ve also looked through the ground tree and i see a number of vehicles that atleast as far as i am concerned do not belong in the game like the OT-64A APC and a lot of vehicles that are funtionally identical.
Either way i do not see a reason to add a seperate tech tree for them.
Nothing i could find online said it was anything beyond a project on a drawing board

Only thing that was “done” by Italy was the FCS which was purchased by Czech Army, it was not a joint project.
TADAMAT’s tech tree is 3 years old, there has been a ton of more research done from that day.

Guess what one of the future tt gajin has pland will have? (The TT will be Korea coming sometime in the future, not necesairly the next tt)
I am aware Gaijin has plans for some other tech trees, that does not mean i agree with that and i can only give my personal opinion and that opinion is simple.
I like the tank very much, i don’t want a new tech tree to be created to facilitate it’s inclusion so i am working within the current framework of the game and concluded that if it was to be added i’d most like to see it added to the German tech tree or Italian one as they are both NATO allies and atleast from what i understand an Italian firm was part of integrating the new FCS into the tank.
If a Czech tech tree was to come at some point in the future or some other such central/eastern european tech tree which are both things i don’t nessecarily support it would go there ofcourse.

Germany occupied Czechoslovakia during the second world war and has pretty bad history together overall, etc. . The tank has nothing to do with Germany
Italy only slightly makes sense because the FCS is Italian but by the same logic T-72AV TURMS-T should’ve also gone to Italy

I don’t think it makes sense to add a Czech tech tree, i’ve gone over the proposed air and ground ones and i am personally just not keen on them but i like the tank so to me the most acceptable way to add it is under the Italian banner with Germany as a back up option as of current.
