The T-72M1R is a modernization of the Polish T-72M1, which is the export version of the Soviet T-72A . In 2011, the Polish MOD set two contracts to modernize the PT-91 Twardy and the T-72M1 main battle tanks of the Polish Army. More specifically, the T-72M1 received a multitude of upgrades including a new W-46-6 Diesel Engine with Digital Starter, new KLW-1 3rd-generation Thermal Camera for the Gunner, fire control system, new power supplies, digital communications, and much more. These upgrades were designed to prepare the T-72M1, in the time of war, to be reintroduced into the Polish Army. This upgrade resulted in the designation T-72M1R. Since the start of the conflict in Eastern Europe, Poland has donated much of its T-72 inventory including the T-72M1R to Ukraine. These T-72M1R’s either come standard, or have been modified locally to equip Kontact-1 ERA with or without the 81mm smoke launchers. It is unknown how many T-72M1R’s remain in service with Poland, however the tank is used by both Ukraine and Poland.
In-game this vehicle has limited armor, especially being the export variant of the T-72A, however with its thermal technology it can be a force to be reckoned with.

In most cases it doesn’t matter. The T-72M1R here being placed in the Ukraine section doesn’t mean Gaijin won’t be aware it’s also a joint development with Poland (and could thus consider it in a Polish TT). My ASCOD suggestions are all listed under Spain, despite the platform being a joint development between Austria and Spain (and others). Not a big deal
T-72M1R was made in Poland, and we gave them this version for the War. The Ukraine besides using it wasn’t involved in makig of this tank, I would really apreciete if Ukrainian comunity, were asking someone who knows if said vehicle has plans of being added to difrent Tech Tree, f.e the Polish tech tree, we’re working on. It wouldn’t be nice if we just added Ukraine for example to Polish techtree as a subtree before asking so don’t come between the vodka and the snack while, even the Mods send over guys who ask about Polish tech tree to our threads.
The vehicle above is the Ukranian variant, which would need the seperate suggestion
It isn’t that much, but when people scroll to look at what vehicles Poland has to offer on the forums, they will have this missing, which is why I raised this question
You’re right, my mistake. In that case I’m not sure why it ended up in the Ukraine section, because it wasn’t written as an explicit suggestion for it in Ukrainian service (which would be valid under that section).
Fair. Perhaps you could ask a suggestion mod? Not sure what @YontzeeUA intended for this suggestion.
