T-72AV Turms Should be 10.0 Tank

The 2A4 is the best 10.7 right now then I’d say m1 and T80B behind it, wether people want to say M1 is better or worse than 80B is upto them.

Not sure I agree. It also has the issue that it currently has ZERO line ups. The only other vehicle at it’s BR is an SPAA and the premium version.

As for ERA and co. The issue there is twofold. First it does overperform against Kinetic. That isn’t really up for debate. The second is that people can absolutely hit those weak points. But it requires aiming. Which especially in CQC or a frontal engagement can be absolutely deadly when the enemy tank isn’t required to do so.

Whoever shoots first (if they actually hit) wins. Split seconds can decide the outcome of an engagement.

So the fact people suck means every one else should suffer ? I am an average player with a 1.0 KD and have no idea how people cannot shoot a T series tank properly, it’s not difficult, they’re not some invincible vehicle at all.

Make no mistake that I advocate for balance geared toward helping the outlet lickers, but much rather would see Gaijin attempt to put together some learning material about at bare minimum game mechanics that are not self evident, think overpressure, shell damage parameters, and similar. Because as of now, even the Wiki doesn’t cut it, and I’d wage people don’t read it anyway.
Also if you have a consistent >=1K/D you are already leaving the domain of the average player.

wether you agree or not is irrelevant it statistically is the best 10.7 due to the combination of high firepower, armour and mobility.

The ERA on the T64B, T80B, T72AV Turms which this thread is on, T72B all have a whopping. Five militers of kinetic protection.
The ERA cannot stop low BR darts never mind the higher BR ones at 10.3 / 10.7.

it most certainly is for most Russian tanks bar the ones with the Top tier ERA which can be found on only a handfull of tanks.
Being T72B3, T90M, T80BVM and I think maybe another T72 though I do not use them often.

The T80U ERA giving 120mm protection is about right last I checked into it, same as the chinese ERA.

T72AV turms which this post is about, get’s one tapped through the UFP by L23A1, a round which is worse the DM23 120MM.
Which as someone astutely pointed out to me, has worse penetration as well as post penetration as DM33 found at 9.3.

Secondly, Russian vehicles at 10.3 / 10.7 even up until the T72B3 or B3A, have extremely slow gun handling, T80U has a whopping 4 degrees a second, compared to say an abrams 20 odds.

Weak points are extremely easy to hit, you shouldn’t need “take the time to aim” as you should already be expecting a T72, T80, etc not blinding rushing in which at that point it’s irrelevant if it’s a soviet or NATO tank.

Russian tanks are absolutely worse in CQC ? they have worse optics for the most part, worse reload bar on the 64 and 80B, even then they have piss gun handling, and poor turret / tank traverse in comparison with NATO counterparts.

It looks average from a statistical standpoint, but wet finger estimate revealed to me in a dream would say that it’s probably above 70% of the playerbase.

Well they have 15 games in the German T-72M1, that is it.

Then again, they also only have around 20 games in the Leopard 2A4 and still act like they know the tank inside out.

Sucks for me too I prefer the likes of hte Type 16 or such but it’s a good tank for what it is
