There is no way that a Flak 37 would fit in the turret of a T-34-85.
-1 it’s a German modification so it STAYS in Germany. Why do you keep making suggestions for copy paste slop that the USSR captured?
Not how that works.
Surly not!
I remember seeing German mains complaining about Russia getting the Su-9/11s because they used reverse engineered Jumo engines (fully Russian built from Russian parts) and kind of look like a 262 if you squint really hard and ignore the shape of the wings
This thing will be another one of those things where no matter what they do half the player base is going to be pissed off… To many players want everybody elses stuff in “their” TT and none of “their” stuff an any other TT.
Just to be clear this is just a comment on the general attitude I have seen on the forum, it’s not aimed at anybody here, being a captured/ modified/ re-captured tank I can see both sides of the argument.
I’ll give them that one, to be honest: it should have gone to both of them from the get-go, considering Germany modified the thing and all, and then France extensively used it Post-War.
if anyone is taking personal offence to that statement THEY ARE THE PROBLEM.
the logic used for “we should get X because part of X comes from Y” logic hurts most nation mains than they expect, as a massive amount of post ww2 tech is directly traceable to britain (actually good jet engines and the L7 105mm) As a brit main that would be really amusing, but i dont want the tree full of other peoples trash.
but much more associated with france in use, just as the 34-88 is for germany
Part of me wants to see the Avon Sabers added just to see the USA melt down over trying to justify why and Australian built and modified Saber with ADEN cannons and Rolls-Royce engine should be in the USA tree
Obvious option 3 is to give it to both sides … how come you didn’t include it?
tbf thats got a LOT more differences than the reboring of the gun for available ammo. CAC sabres are a whole different airframe
i think this is much closer to the differences between the british service centurions and a STRV 105 or shot kal gimel. Built by britain but modified by the operator nation. Even if britain reaquired the tanks they shouldnt appear in the british tree.
Oh, sorry I wasn’t trying to draw comparisons between the T-34-88 and the CAC Sabers, I was just thinking about the meltdowns people have trying to claim various vehicles and what you where saying about the L7 and British jet engines and wandered completely off topic.
Why anyone still believe in it? I thought we were over this
It was proven to be real a few months ago in german service. was recaptured by the soviets and disappeared after a couple photos were taken
was trying to redirect towards the issue of this suggestion. Its still relevant in some ways
Even if it’s real it just can’t be functional
Because you say so, or becauses there’s some actual evidence that supporets such a conclusion??
No no it was fully operational. The gun was rebored to fire 88mm flak shells because thats the ammunition germany had, rest of the tank needed minimal modification.
Because there are no proof of it being operational
lol - so what? this is War Thunder - “proof of it being operational” has not ever been a requirement!!
88mm gun has much more pressure chamber compared to soviet 85mm so you can’t just rebore to use same shells and if you can’t use same shells there are no reasons to do so
