T-34-85 is slop and belongs to 4.7

Arguable.

At 5.7, Tiger H1, T-34-85, M4A3(76), and then maybe the Jumbo are all quite on par with one another

Full disclaimer, I have like 10 games in the T-34-85. I found it to be a pretty good tank, mostly held back by sweden having no 5.7 lineup. But by its own merits i found it to better than the strv-74.

Yes, thus is a very balanced battle rating so anything is arguable here. Much every 5.7 is worth other 5.7 tbh so its not that something is MUCH BETTER than other.
But the stabilized sherman with a good reload and decent shell is a bit superior to 34-85 if you ask me, so thats what i reffered to. That does not mean 34-85 suffers tho

I still prefer the better mobility, engine armour, tnt equivalent and angle penetration. But I can see why you may prefer the M4A3.

Its not very good but 4.7 is a bit low, at least keep it in the 5.0’s id say.

The T-34-85 (D-5T) is fine at 5.3.
The regular T-34-85 is better than the T-34-85 (D-5T) in terms of reload, survivability, and turret armour (to a degree), so it can’t really move down any lower, nor should it.

i can also see that. 34-85 is one great tank so i usually use them too. Thy why i can see the pluses of sherman as much as its downsides.

honestly I haven’t found ground rb fun in years and whenever I play a couple games I always come away feeling like it’s somehow worse than last time.

ground rb or the t34-85

you could play T-34-85 at 6.0 and be fine with it, also seen streamers use it at top tier with ease. Don’t know about the T-34-85 being a giant target especially when in uptiers your facing the fv4005

I played the T-34-85 until I got an aced crew for free in it, both the T-34-85 (5.7) and T-34-85 DT (5.3) are very good tanks in my opinion. M4A3E8 is good too, I don’t know 5.7 good but it’s stabilized at lower speeds and has decent all-round characteristics; though the 5.7 T-34-85 is better than it because it’s more mobile and the gun hits even harder once it penetrates.

My main and perhaps only real complaint about the T-34-85, is BR compression, 6.7 is pretty rough on it; though to most 5.7s it is. When not at 6.7, it’s pretty good, even against most 6.3s. And at 6.3, the T-34-85 (STP), I am newer to it but even it seems pretty ok at 6.3 and can hold it’s own, since it’s stabilized and gets APCBC.

why would i ever ignore when i can read these hot takes and enjoy what people post :)

Worst take I’ve ever seen. Once got 9 kills 3 caps and 2500sp in 1 life in the T-34-85.

The T-34-85 is one of the best balanced tanks in the game. It’s simultaneously usable in uptiers while not being op in downtiers. They are fine for bad players and have a high skill ceiling for good players just like all tanks should be.

They should neither be uptiered nor downtiered, their BRs are perfect and the only variant that should be downtiered is the T-34-85 STP. That one is bad and just a worse T20 at the same BR.
