Switzerland subtree to save air german Bias

Fighters:

  1. EKW D-3800

Fighters:

  1. de Havilland Vampire

  2. de Havilland Venom

Multirole:

  1. Dassault Mirage III

  2. Northrop F-5E/F Tiger II

  3. McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet

Argument for Inclusion:

  1. Historical Relevance: Swiss aircraft have unique characteristics and historical significance that add depth to the game.
  2. Balance: Enhances the German tech tree, similar to the Italian-Hungarian integration, providing balance and diversity.
  3. Unique Gameplay: Swiss aircraft offer a variety of roles, from early jets to modern multirole fighters, enriching the gameplay experience.

Including the Swiss tech tree in War Thunder under the German tree would not only honor Switzerland’s unique aviation history but also provide German players with a broader range of aircraft to enhance their strategic options and gameplay enjoyment and to stop the SUFFERING
With the miserabile f-4f

the vampire an venom wont save the german tree, they are ww2 planes at the same BR as A4E with only hispanos and no speed

Just throw them in the tree like the argentinian ones, I dont think we will get gaijin to do a whole UI redisgn just for germany… something something only 5 lines per tree.

Just add EFT, it’s time.

It’s not quite time yet. It would single-handedly be the best airframe ingame, and have some of the best missiles by far. We need a little bit more time, maybe at the end of the year they can come (along with a bunch of superior Fox 2 missiles like R-73M/R-74, AAM-5, Python-4/5, Aim-9X, IRIS-T, PL-10, MICA-IR, and ASRAAM)

Early Eurofighters would have just AIM-9M and AIM-120.

By the time the Eurofighter entered service the ASRAAM was already in service as well (and only adding the EFT to Germany would make the British mains cry for their own with the ASRAAM).
Sure you could slap some 9Ms on the EFT for Germany, but that’s still the best sidewinder variant in the game at this point, and it would also have the best BVR missiles along with the best airframe in the game.

It’s too powerful at the moment, but its time is coming very soon. I have a feeling we’ll see it by the end of the year.

Personally I don’t expect the first Typhoons to come with ASRAAM at all, and I’m pretty sure everyone thinks the same. Next generation IR missiles will be a much bigger jump than FOX 3 was, UK also used sidewinders on theirs anyways so it should not be a problem at all. Of course it would be a problem if only one nation got it and the other 2 that also use and produce it didn’t.

I really hope not tbh
Typhoon Tranche 1 Block 2 (suggestion WIP) is simply a better option for a top German aircraft.

Idk about “save”… switzerland is objectively one of the worst subtrees germany could possibly get, with the only thing of actual value being thw hornet, which is an air to air only hornet to boot…

It doesnt “solve” anything so much as its a very temporary fix for an issue entirely of gaijins own making.

The only thing that i think should be added here is the D.38xx series and the F/A-18
We really don’t need another copy pasta F-5 and the Vampire and Venom isn’t exactly needed since the 163 and G.91 alr exist + the P-16 is a much more unique plane to be added.
WE DO NOT NEED MORE COPY PASTA.

The pic is a Venom.

Mirage IIIS C.70 with TARAN radar, RWR, countermeasures, HM-55 Falcon SARH missiles and AIM-9P4 all aspect IR-AAM’s and canards…

I’m all for the IIIs (and Milan S) to be added, just maybe not the IIIC or any of the literal copy pasta from Bri’ish and Murica. Ok with the F-5E/F and F-5F tho.

I think Argentina looks better But I agree

would be unique for Germany though, different play style compared to 262s, since the venom and vampire specialise more into turn fighting than energy fighting

No, Switzerland is not Germany and the only reason they got the Swiss Hunter was money.

what versions of the Vampire and Venom were the swiss using? would need that to make a judgement call. But at the minute I’m all against a Swiss Subtree if this is the basis of what they were getting.

Germany doesn’t need swiss anything to compete.

Swiss Hunter should’ve been in the UK tree, and Swiss mods of French aircraft should be in the FR tree. Swiss ground additions also have no place in German tree.
