Mirage 2000 has a slower search rate radar that doesn’t have the strength of the F-18’s radar, it has a notably worse airframe, and worse options for air.
Mirage 2000 gets a better radar missiles for WVR, and F-18C gets better everything else.
the difference isnt really that large nor dose it matter since they are both pretty bad radars for 14.0.
its faster has decent maneuverability and energy retention in what way is the F-18 notable better??
your not gonna BVR in either plane so using HMD micas at 19km is simply a better way to play and more consistent that using aim120s
F-18C has among the best radars at 14.0, with Gripen E being the primary radar to surpass it.
F-18C is faster in acceleration, climb rate, and that leads to its superior sustained turn rates as well.

The F-18 has faster low speed accelerations but you need to keep in mind you start at 1150 not on the ground considering the F-18 hits a clif in accel the second it hits mc 1.2 in your average game the mirage is gonna be going faster but the time you enter combat, but that also wouldn’t even matter since as i said you cant BRV with either plane so the plane thats better in close range is the better plane.
Yeah, the Mirage can run away, that won’t win them the match though.
F-104s are faster in top speed than Mig-19s and F-100s, but F-104s are drastically inferior in air matches.
Having a higher top speed to run away with can be useful, but it’s not ideal without other strengths to boost positioning.

Correct, but I honestly think it could go up to 13.3 if decompression to 16.0 and up happens to give 12.7’s some breathing room.

none the less hornet with 9Ms and AMRAAMs wont be 13.3 since all Hornets in said config are 14.0 at minimum. The only difference between swiss TT hornet and premium hornet are the sidewinders and amraams.

Maybe 13.7 (where the premium Su-30s should be IMO) if it doesn’t get the double racks, defiantly 14.0 if it dose.
The premiums F18 are good version if you cant get a good matches is skill issue, the only players than can say simething wrong with the f18 is the 14.0 and the 14.3 ones
While they are 12.7 they are practically 13.3 because of all the 13.3 prems right now. They are nice planes but you’re expected to be the underdog every single match. Doesn’t help that you have one of the worst SARH missiles at tier.
If they only saw other 12.7 BR aircraft it wouldn’t be a problem, their BR bracket is an eternal curse sadly.

I should of worded it better by saying between tier 12.7-13.3 since thats what you face 90% of the time. You get rocked by R27ER’s from the Su-33 and Mig29 you will constantly face.
They are not bad per say, but the low energy of the F-18 means the missiles are very slow off the rail compared to what everyone else is throwing at you. Since most competent players know that they just need to toss a Fox 3 and jump into a notch window, you feel pretty helpless most of the match.
