Support for a No CAS Game option for GRB Poll

lol. Then we have the player base screaming for huge open maps.

Zero cover on Fire Arc on spawn.SPAA ,Wirbelwind utterly useless due to shocking view.In reality I would be stood in an open barrel looking around but all I can see in game is grass and bushes, even there hardly any there.Might be nice to have some dig in points or hardcover from tanks for the SPAA on spawn ,the Germans did have shovels apparently.

Another thing is not getting any credit for hitting Aircraft, not even a kill or assist when it was one.Hardly an incentive to use SPAA.I can see why I never bothered with the German SPAA at 3.7 looking back.Come in at a steep approach and the Whirble is defenceless.

They simply can’t get it right. Something as slow as Dicker Max can apparently play Kursk, while on the other hand, top tier is being caged in monstrosities like this:

Bigger maps aren’t the problem, people that design them and have a say at what BRs they’ll show up are.

I think the CAS issue leads to another issue as is common in WT.
If it’s time for your second or third respawn and the sky is full of CAS and you don’t have anything in your line up to be productive under those conditions you are going to simply bail.ODL.

UK at 4.7 no roof mounted MG and you just got killed on your Firefly? What then? You jump into SPAA only to find the CAS went and you are in a useless SPAA or you go out with no AA defence at all.
Do I spend the game hiding under a tree?
It turns the tank game into a farce all too often.Maybe I’m just not in the mood for this S**t today.

In my opinion, ridiculous “achievements” like God Mode should be deleted, alongside the ability of spawning a vehicle that’s more than one tier below your highest vehicle in the lineup.
For example, if your highest tiered vehicle is rank 7, you would only be allowed to spawn in vehicles of tier 6 and 7.

Purely a difference in preference. I don’t want War Thunder to give up the “play the way you want” aspect to it. Players should be free to choose how to challenge themselves and how to have fun. Removing the SP gain would eliminate the bad actors while still letting the people who really are just doing it for fun do their thing. I get what you mean though.

Gaijin is purposely making them even more niche, just look at the recent map changes and spots that suited them the most being removed.
Other than that, every slow-ish vehicle is basically a food for CAS on that map, heck, even faster ones are, considering how far the spawns are.

I very much dislike Gaijin’s map designs, I make no effort to defend them. However, I don’t want it to be used as an excuse to separate air and ground into their own game-modes. Balancing these things is currently beyond their ability, I grant that, but I want to see Gaijin feel pressure from the community for the right things and reasons. Otherwise, I can feel the monkey’s paw curling as they look for a way to “listen to community feedback” in the most convenient way possible again.

Freedom is slowly getting squeezed out of the game and resulting in the game getting worse not better.
Using an M22 to grab a zone is a technical decision and I have killed Panthers in an M22.

You could do that anyways.
You want to play Reserve tier ? Great, make a lineup and go for it.
Same thing applies for any tier.

Have you ever considered that having X amount of teammates driving Reserve tier tanks in a top tier game isn’t exactly fun for those around them ?

I don’t really care what people spawn with, there’s a 90% chance that M22 was going to feed the enemy his SP in any other tank IMO. People are really bad at this game. I was suggesting options as a matter of discussion.

I get where you are coming from but using a fast vehicle with low SP to capture a point is a proven and successful tactic especially when the enemy are all spawn camping. If the players want to do that then let them. It’s been a game winner in the past. This is my whole point about the big picture and cramping everybodies style.

Have you ever considered that having X amount of teammates driving Reserve tier tanks in a top tier game isn’t exactly fun for those around them ?

Where does it stop? Which tanks do I have to play? How good do I have to play them? How much teamwork do I have to participate in? How nice do I have to be to everyone? How many respawns do I need to do? How many times can I die without getting a kill before I should leave and stop feeding the enemy SP?

IMO, just let everyone do what they want, take a deep breath, and move on. it’s not worth trying to regulate it.

Try by spawning something that’s at the same tier.

None of this matters if you stay off the forum.
The only problem then is so many changes and you having no idea why they were made.

My major problem is the player base constantly complaining about trivial s**t and Gaijin constantly tinkering as a result.Messing with all the good points while doing nothing major to address ancient issues.

I get what you mean, but we’re gonna have to agree to disagree on that. I think if playing the game so seriously was fun to begin with, people wouldn’t want to spawn low tier jank-wagons. The problem isn’t the players.

There’s nothing serious about spawning 10.0 vehicle in a 10.0 match. It’s just common sense.
But yea, this isn’t the topic for that, so we’ll have to agree to disagree.

Do they not keep the low tier stuff to get a extra chance instead of being out due to lack of SP? Eg Spawn a BT5 Capture a point or even two and get back in the game with a real vehicle while making a contributing to the team as well? Sounds logical.

If we could convince Gaijin that they could earn a shit load of money with some tweaks and changes those changes could happen faster then we say snail I bet.

And then there are those situations where I could fly off the handle. Losing because there were too many players in the air. YES please … this is the moment I need a break from CAS.

Yeah of course. Someone shows up and blames me … you got no idea about my lineup and what happened before and after that screenshot but you come here and put the finger on the trigger without any constructive part … well done well done.
But you know what … I will tell you what happened.
I started with a Concept 3 NGAC to scout the area around A because most of the time fast tanks try to sneak through to this cap. And yes I was right. But he wasn’t alone. Shortly after two KV-1 showed up and I just got support from 2 other players. On top a T-34 tried to sneak behind the KVs. I scouted all of them but as a scout I got to think twice before I engage a target.
After all that 5min passed and I was finally able to go to the cap while all around me died due to enemy planes.
At this moment we already had no other caps and no tanks in the middle. A T-34 flanked me and killed me. So … enemy planes … I took SPAA. And many many players followed by taking planes … I went to A and finally did the cap. Then I went back because a crusader vs T-34 is a bad idea and other KV where in the area too.
I think I don’t need to mention that scouting and playing SPAA isn’t that much rewarding.
Just a small note … maybe ask why my “score” looks like it looks instead of showing up and pointing the finger on me without any knowledge about what happened in the battle.
And if you think now "oh you could have done this and this … " yes … COULD … I was there. Not you …

Ignore the trolls and Ad Hominem attacks. Responding just feeds them.

Ignore him man. Responding to the trolls only feeds them. Many of them ONLY want responses to feed their ‘ego’ or w/e it is that drives them.

If someone doesn’t have something constructive to say, no advice, no argument, and is simply attacking your skills, intelligence, or whatever, ignore them. Furthermore, responding to all the trolls spams up the threads even more and makes them less useful, makes 10x more posts for other legit contributors to wade through.

Just ignore.

well… you showcase a game/SS where you did basically nothing.

Sure, i get that with the leavers on your team, you had Mostly people in the air… but that just means you have to step up and be one of the few on the ground doing work. Butttt… the problem really isnt Too much air in that match… its leavers and useless teammates. or players not playing very well…which in that game… you did not play very well.

Which yeah… i also get that that happens because you have to 3 or 4 vs one, or even more… but imo… that is a game when you die… check tab, and then leave, because 100 out of 101 games, you lose, since you have a TON of leavers, and they have very few players that have left. (so again. leavers/crappy performances were the Main reason you lost that game, too many planes was a secondary problem)
