I mean Magic-II got buffed, so this weapon would mean BR increase by 0.7
But AS.30L is already present into the game at those BR

Why exactly would you want it to receive armament that would remove it as the only viable CAS for France in the 9.3 to 10.0? There is nothing in that range comparable to the SU25, which I use with terrific effectiveness and is incredibly fun to use. You also have America’s A-10 with Mavericks at that BR. France has had dumb bombs, crap rockets and hard-to-control (at least for me) Nords or whatever those big missile things are.
Meanwhile I’m using the super etendard and it’s been a game changer with the 4 gbu and my 9.3 lineup. I can actually have fun and contribute to changing the tide of the battle as opposed to seeing my whole team creamed in the first 2 minutes of the match.
As someone with top tier USA air and ground, Germany air and ground, USSR air and ground, and France air, I can tell you this addition was the best and most needed part of this entire update so far as vehicles are concerned.
I wouldn’t support changing it. They can add and folder another more capable variant if they wish.
Could you elaborate on how it’s superior? I have all 3 and I don’t see a way to support that statement.
The only thing that makes this vehicle worth using now is the pod and gbu. It has almost zero maneuverability compared to the aforementioned vehicles so it’s very difficult to dodge SPAA fire in.
just fly high and fast, most spaa wont even reach you, the only threat is the tunguska, the a10 is far more easy to shot down.
Speed & airframe, GBUs for ground, identical amount of countermeasures.
In comparison to Su-25.
For A-5C: Both have a similar top speed, A-5C is the vertical king, less countermeasures, same missiles, can’t dogfight.
A-5C’s one gimmick is it can vertical everyone.

well, the SEM is also quite good at energy trapping people, ofc the a5c is better at that
Is it normal for his slats to sustain 900km/h? At 500+ with slats released its angular rate of turn is literally the same as a MiG29.
i dont see much of a reason as to why the slats wouldn’t be able to be deployed, this kind of slats dont create much lift just allows a better air flow at high AOA, the ones that behaves wierd are the combat flaps, you cant break them
For a player who does not have a Jaguar A or Mirage 2000D, your “analysis” about French air-to-ground armament around the BR 10-11 is not credible.
France doesn’t have “dumb bombs, crap rockets and hard-to-control Nords or whatever those big missile”, it’s just that you don’t know how to use them. But given the low volume of French planes in the top tier that you play, this can be explained.
To return to the Super Etendard proposed by Gaijin in game. The waste is due to the fact that we were offered a “lame” plane with incomplete armament. Gaijin could very well have made an “Early” Super Etendard with classic bombs and Magic 1 and a less efficient RWR with a BR between 9 and 10. and make a Super Etendard “Late” with the Atlis or the Damocles with the 4 GBU, AS30L and Magic 2. Now we have a glass half empty…and I doubts that we will have the version with the Damocles and AS30L

Played on dev server, flight model hasn’t changed, and when you roll many tech trees it takes a while to get new additions to WT.
It may be quite maneuverable in the "smooth "version for Dogfight but I can assure you that with a load of bombs (classic or laser-guided) it is not maneuverable at all…

why are you trying to dogfight with bombs to begin with?

It is rather dangerous but only in a clean 1v1 with some seperation from the enemy.
You can dogfight F-86 and MiG-15 in it using superior thrust and flaps but that requires slowing down to extremely low speeds or getting a good shot in while fast.
Against aeroplanes such as A-10 you can become to slow just like Mirage or MiG-29 can become when fighting F-16.
A-5 is way faster and retains it’s energy better. If you know how to peoperly handle A-5 you will win.

A-5C has had it’s prime while there are many aeroplanes that regularly receive a trashing at their br or are less competitive than others at the same br.
Why hold back Super Étendard?
