no, they only started ground testing prototype #2 about 2 weeks ago. #1 was only for basic flight test like YF-23

Not really. Good agility and turning capabilities are advantageous in other situations as well, not just dogfighting.

A really good example would be the Su-34 vs Patriot incident that happened a while ago.
True allows you to get out of dodge in a elegant manner. I mean more that the Russians do plan a day after atomic war which in its process would damage infrastructure that allows beyond visual range combat. (su-57 has a cannon) This may involve interaction with enemy aircraft in visual range less then ideal but you got to do what you got to do.
Su-57 would have absorbed this day after logic in her design. Russians also maintain the lessons learned from operation barbarossa which had poor out come for the soviet air force. Which is you might lose a good chunk of that air force and the rest will need to handle the slack.
Against missiles? I think most missiles can pull greater aoa and have higher g tolerances than a su-57 fighter jet. And to kinematically defeat enemy missiles just require good energy retention and high thrust if I’m not mistaken.
Also does anyone have a source about the usage of tvc as trim?

In the case of something like an SR-71, yes, in the case of an actual fighter, no.
There was the case of the F-16 dodging SAMs, which has good thrust and energy retention.
More recently there was the Su-34 dodging a Patriot. And a Su-57 definitely flies better than the Su-34.

That’s a case of draining the missile out of energy, highly subjective and depends on the positioning and all

Yes, But.
If you were to have placed a Su-57 in the same position, it likely would’ve fared even better due the better maneuverability.
Along with, of course, the stealth features, avionics, ECM, and what not.

I wasn’t talking about in game but yeah, you’re right.
But I’m not worried too much about it in WT, I’m sure the Su-57 will do fine against whatever is thrown at it.

that has nothing to do with agility, its just draining the missile energy, which is really only possible if the missile was fired from very close to max range in case of the patriot and other modern Sams
no maneuverability would be fairly irrelevant in this case, it would fare better cause its faster and retains energy better.

Could you elaborate on this? Unless the missile is very low on energy I don’t see how it will not be able to pull into a fighter plane 0.0

You’re right, being more maneuverable doesnt really help much when you reach a threshold. To defest missiles kinematically it’s about luck with positioning and after that speed and retention. You arent defeating a missile with maneuverability
