Manpads against a 5th gen, really? This isn’t a Su-25.

It can’t carry R-77-1 internally

Since when ?
Yes there is no confirmation but there no reason that it cant carry 77-1. Yes its true for 37m bcz of the fins.

Source for this?

George N said it

iirc the gridfins won’t fit in the internal bay.

Can you share the post, i would like to read his reason.

Dont they have option to close and open when launched ?

74M2 and 74M use dual band

I don’t believe so.

I asked him on Discord, all he said was “no”. I guess the fins are too big.

Nope

Its meant to damage the sensor so HOJ wouldn’t really be effective if this happened. I don’t really see why they would implement 2 of these heavy, bulky and power consuming systems if they would not be effective against realistic threats.

they are gonna need to make export R-77M soon if it really cant carry it internally

There is one, RVV-SDM.

How many r77m can su57 carry internally? 6 or 4?

at least 4, it is unknown if Russia adopted triple mounts for Su-57

damaging would be the only way to disrupt it, just cause thats true it doesnt mean thats what the system does, were did you get that the ldircm is meant to destroy the seeker? cause that would be outright hard kill.
