“Созданный специалистами ОКБ Сухого двухместный вариант Су-57 может быть задействован не только для обучения пилотов, но и для организации и управления боевыми действиями объединенной группы пилотируемой и беспилотной авиации с формированием единого информационно-управляющего пространства”, — пояснили в госкорпорации.
@ron_23 looks like out guess was correct. Trainer + conrol hub for manned/unmanned aircrafts network
Honestly, it looks very nice. Su-30 from some of the angles gives off a very weird look, but Su-57 with 2 seat canopy looks good from any angle
oh my dear…
need the black paint like su30 in the cockpit
«Мы продолжаем работу над совершенствованием и расширением функционала нашего самого передового авиационного комплекса пятого поколения. Уверен, что двухместная версия самолета будет значительно способствовать его успеху на зарубежных рынках», - сказал генеральный директор ОАК Вадим Бадеха.
definetly the first double seater flanker that i prefer in terms of looks, it could be the whiter livery though i much prefer it personally. dual seaters seems like such a no brainer with CCA’s becoming a thing relatively soon, i wager we’ll see some f35s coversions in the not so distant future.
To be fair, the guy who George responded to asked “Are both this and S-70 available for export”.
So at the moment? Likely not , like George said.
In the future? probably.
Flanker? Su-57 is no flanker
thats right i forgot it isnt technically one.
The Su-57 is like the Flankers Cool Uncle.
The 101KS-O is the most powerful LDIRCM Russia has made. It will probably still be effective against IIR missiles, which it was designed for. I don’t really see the point in a LDIRCM when basically everyone uses IIR missiles at this point.
effectiveness again IIR missiles is dubious at best as a claim
You can’t see the intake because it’s angled inwards. The T-50-5R did not have a dorsal LDIRCM to begin with.
Why would they implement LDIRCM if it had no use in combat? IIR is the standard at this point. The 101KS-O uses a 6kW laser, that is very powerful for a laser, extremely powerful actually. Sensors are very sensitive, so 6kW could definitely do something against them.
russia doesn’t use IIR for R-74s.
speculate sure, effectivenes of LDIRCM against IIR missiles is completely unproved however, they cannot dazzle them that is not effective against IIR, at this point what youre arguing is that the missiles are getting Disabled mid air, that is a big claim, and the system is dual purposed DIRCM and IRST it could very well just be they added ldircm against for the more common more plentiful manpads cause it was possible. and really IIR seekers arent that vulnerable either

what am i supposed to get from this
its different types of IR missile seeker generation and which cms are effective against them
