This naming got me confused, I read 117S and 177S as the same thing.
So I guess 117S, 177 and 177S are all separate engines.

This one is just Al-41
just another day in the Russian arms industry
Well, to be fair, Izd 177 and 177S Is just a factory name. In service it will get something along the usual AL-something

No desert camo is such a missed opportunity
what do you think those changes are? Mounts, fellas, mounts.
if we go same logic as F-1 and F-1S then it will probably be controls. Wouldn’t be surprised if 177S features old mechanical engine controls while 177 has fully digital ones which allows the significant increase of thrust
Its fully digital iirc, let me confirm from some guy
But im pretty sure 177 is just 177s with less life and more thrust
They arent parked in the desert
Russia needs to use more desert camos… those 9.18 and 9.41SM paintjobs is simply to die for.
Famous desert country of Russia
no
Good thing Su-57E and the aforementioned MiG-29s aren’t for Russia…
And would be painted not by Russia as well
Eh no… Usually Russia paints them then ships them to the buyer.
