Sukhoi Su-57 Felon - Technical details, Analysis and Discussion

It doesn’t perform the same it performs similar.
Mate I wouldn’t be surprised if those missiles had no weight at all, to make the Su-57 look good Russia are desperate for export customers.

Wouldn’t be the first time both Russia and USA have removed paint and systems to beat time to climb records.

Ah yes training/inert missiles meant to simulate the damn thing are gonna be weightless. Are you hearing yourself

Bro is mixing things deliberately made to set records with airshow performance… And usual cope of “Russia is desperate for customers”. Sight, just have a nice day and try to overcome your Kh-38 PTSD, ok?

Yes for training, this isn’t training this is presentation.

Like making mock up missiles at static displays, everyone has and does do it.
I don’t think it’s a stretch to suggest that Russia would want the Su-57 to look the best it can.
This is the first time publicly it has had all of it’s weapon bays open.

They are how many Su-57 export sales do they have?
Algeria, they need more to fund further development of the airframe, they practically begged India with the promise of technology transfer.

Without customers Su-57 potential is never realised.

At the moment, no Flanker ingame beats the F-14B. Maybe with R-73 that dynamic shifts a bit, but in a pure guns fight when flight performance matters, the F-14B comes out on top.

Charts

Tomcat is in blue, Flanker Variants are other colors.
Flaps for Tomcat:

No Flaps for Tomcat:

Even with no flaps, the Tomcat has a higher sustained rate at sea level.

Sustained barely means anything for this fight, flanker just pulls in and shoots it within first 1-2 turns. After uni, we can duel if you want to see, though I’m sure you know how much better the instantaneous of the flanker is compared to the f14

Russia developed airframe pretty much single-handedly after India left PAK-FA program but now they need money?

Indian president said you that? Or it’s just your own emotional commentary born of personal bias?

VKS is nicely realising its potential even without export. Export sales will help speed it up, but it is nothing desperate like you are trying to describe

currently I think the VKS has other priorities for funding

True but it’s still gets Su-57 in small batches.

thats because those were ordered and likely paid for years ago

lead times are probably very long

Could be. But everything eventually ends, and current war is no exception. After that Su-57 might get full attention from VKS.

I feel you are a Russian person and that’s fine but outside of that pro russian bubble you have major problems in the future and one of those is export sales of military hardware.

Su-57 was single handedly developed which is why it took so long and why even now there are 30 ish airframes in service. Being used in limited capacity with the predominant role stand off strikes.

Russia have consistently gone back to India to try and secure sales for the Su-57. Russia as you said have built and developed the Su-57 at a massive cost to themselves. The VKS demand for the Su-57 realistically ends at 100 airframes more likely closer to 60, Sukhoi (or whatever brand conglomerate they trade under now) will have factored that into their future spend. However having a new customer/s purchasing airframes for an inflated amount is additional revenue that can go onto the development of the Su-57 or even the Su-75. That is why exporting the Su-57 is so important.

This is true for many programmes, if the Su-57 does not sell it will likely not have all the systems they envisaged for it. With that technology being transferred to a new programme.

Now my final point while the VKS and VVS have performed well they are stressing and straining airframes. in the inter years after the conflict Russia will only have a pot of money to prioritise spending.
Navy, Army and Air force will all have to share. Russia desperately needs to modernise her tank fleet, her IFVs and artillery systems. Her air force will have incredible number of airframes that need major services or are just written off as is the case in prolonged conflict, helicopter forces will require a rebuild.

If you can line up customers say for the T-14, Su-57 and Ka-52M you reduce massively the burden the Russian government has to absorb.

I think they might have to focus on rebuilding, and replenishing munitions stocks first

probably going to be 5+ years before they can really invest into this

Depends on the losses and current production values I think. Russia haven’t shown much signs of running out of stockpiles so who knows?

Yeah, I ain’t reading all that.

Your choice to remain ignorant.

In short Russia no money, Russian air assets stressed and strained from war, Russia to chose what to focus on Army, Air force, Navy it cannot fund them all.

Burden of Russia shared if export customers can be found

I am not gonna take seriously someone who was traumatised by Kh-38. Take your energy somewhere else.
