Sure, the Yak-141 in-game doesn’t represent the real-life prototype but rather the never-completed production aircraft. The issue here is that there’s plenty of information available that tells us what a production 141 would have been like. For the Su-47, however, there simply isn’t, we only have limited information on the tech demonstrator. Without details on the production aircrft weapon types, hardpoints, radar, RWR, countermeasures, avionics, etc. there is just no way to add the 47 into the game.
I think eventually the Snails will start adding various projects and prototypes to the game.
Like they already do? More like they lax the requirement for “paper” stuff (beyond legacy vehicles)
There’s some info on proposed loadouts as well as regarding what it would potentially carry in its weapons bay among other things floating around RU forums. I can’t read cyrillic but there’s some old info from a few aviation forums like 10 or 20 years ago about it that was dredged up from russian forums. Apparently it was tested with mounting (never firing) but mounting R27s and R60s in its internal bay. One could just take the avionics from one of the same era sukhois that are already in the game and graft it over since there would be no reason why it wouldn’t have had it.
If you just give it avionics and such from something like an Su-27 that would result in a “fake” vehicle just like the Panther II 88, Tiger II 105, and R2Y2. They are all based on real projects but with added “hypothetical” features, like the Tiger II 105’s 900hp engine and rangefinder, the Panther II’s 88mm, and the R2Y2’s 4 cannons, which makes them fake vehicles and so they were removed. So, if the Su-47 were to be added, we would need definitive info on the basic features required for the plane to be added. Gaijin might be opening up more to prototypes, but straight-up making stuff up and “grafting” is still off the menu.
This is incredibly funny considering Gaijin decided to remove my MiG 1.44 suggestion, because there was no evidence that it could launch missiles from its two clearly existing hardpoints.
