SUKHOI SU-47 BERKUT

I think eventually the Snails will start adding various projects and prototypes to the game.

Like they already do? More like they lax the requirement for “paper” stuff (beyond legacy vehicles)

There’s some info on proposed loadouts as well as regarding what it would potentially carry in its weapons bay among other things floating around RU forums. I can’t read cyrillic but there’s some old info from a few aviation forums like 10 or 20 years ago about it that was dredged up from russian forums. Apparently it was tested with mounting (never firing) but mounting R27s and R60s in its internal bay. One could just take the avionics from one of the same era sukhois that are already in the game and graft it over since there would be no reason why it wouldn’t have had it.

If you just give it avionics and such from something like an Su-27 that would result in a “fake” vehicle just like the Panther II 88, Tiger II 105, and R2Y2. They are all based on real projects but with added “hypothetical” features, like the Tiger II 105’s 900hp engine and rangefinder, the Panther II’s 88mm, and the R2Y2’s 4 cannons, which makes them fake vehicles and so they were removed. So, if the Su-47 were to be added, we would need definitive info on the basic features required for the plane to be added. Gaijin might be opening up more to prototypes, but straight-up making stuff up and “grafting” is still off the menu.

This is incredibly funny considering Gaijin decided to remove my MiG 1.44 suggestion, because there was no evidence that it could launch missiles from its two clearly existing hardpoints.

su47 with 2x r73 and a hms pls

Well for the internal hardpoints

This photo would be useful,

Because of the forward swept wings and the lack of information with the wing tip hardpoints its would be hard to guess because there is less information than other planes I cannot guess nor tell which hardpoint has this much armaments but for the internal bay this could help gaijin

I do too think this plane could be fun in the game and because of the Eurofighter and the Rafale is presence in the game I don’t have any doubt of adding this plane to the game

The engine 2 × Soloviev D-30 engines were used for the Mig-31 and was powerful enough to be against other advanced jets

Despite the lack of information of the external wing hardpoints and the wing tip hardpoints have very less information for gaijin to add in the game

The internal bay has been seen in real life and If this plane wanted to be a beast mode like the F-22 raptor I think It could have a chance for the wing armaments

I do admire the work you have done for this suggestions and for gaijin’s work but
for the users they want a plane to be fun to have a great experience to have the best feeling while playing warthunder

I wanted to write a suggestion about the Su-47 [ Berkut 2025.10.1 ] now because there is no reason for this plane to be out of the game

Isn’t the rafale’s version in the game the 2013s F3 standard version?

Why don’t we have the (mig-25 or the mig-31? maybe because the map is too small right?)

Alright, then the Su-47 with its high maneuverability and its performance I do not have any doubts that this could be a unbalanced super OP plane

because since if it could do high AOA pulls then it means it could lose all its speed at once
and become a great target for the opponents

Thanks for the suggestions again and I hope to see this plane in a short time before the 5th gen fighters are present in the game

I personally don’t think it should be added, it has too many unknowns about it and is simply a worse su-35s

This internal weapons bay was fitted later down the line, when Sukhoi started working on PAK-FA project that ended up being Su-57. This bay was never wired, and was used to test opening\closing mechanism and doors behavior during flight. If Su-47 ever be considered as an addition (which i would support just for the sake of having this beautiful thing in-game) i think it should only have external hardpoints.

Oh! thanks for the great information you got
It really helped me change the way of seeing this beautiful plane!

Due to the lack of Information I have no doubt that gaijin will have a hard time bringing this plane online

But like the YAK-141 and the Mirage-4000 there are some experimental planes which could be one of the reasons the Su-47 to be added

Best dogfighter

Has nothing on anything with tvc engines

2nd or 3rd best probably, but prob for its br it might be best if it only gets r73

To consider that this has Thrust vectoring and can techically challenge interms of flight statistics the F-22 it’s probably up there

challenge doesnt mean better, su47 is kinda fat and heavy, it does has the funny forward sweep wings, canards and tvc engines to counteract that tho, but still it would be not better than top 3

It doesn’t get tvc engines

damn so even worse

Well, forward swept wings should give it extremely good stall control and controlability at extreme AOAs because boundary layer goes towards the root of the wing, instead of the tip like on conventional wing designs. Tho TVC is just another way to fix the same problem, i guess, so both should have similar preformance in general. TVC however should give much better high altitude maneuverability because it doesn’t care about air density.

I mean, this hasn’t stopped Gaijin before.
We have the Yak-141 which has a fake radar and IRST installed (never had it IRL) and also working weapons pylons (weren’t wired up). There’s also Sea Jesus with 4x20mm Hispanos it never had.
There’s the TOG 2 with its “production” hull with the sponson mounted machine guns.
Can also throw in the most agregious one which is the Hori production that has a fake engine, fake transmission and a fake hull, there’s also the Ostwind II which doesn’t have photos of its existence, only a mention to upgrade it to twin gun barrels and some dubious information found ONLY on a Russian forum.
There’s a Leclerc with fake addon armour it never had, and the list kind of goes on.
Aircraft like the Su-47 are the reason events like Dreams Come True exist.

I feel like ppl think that it will be a beast. I think that it will be between the Yak141 and the SU27SM in term of performances +1
