Probably because having 1 massive radar like irbis is better than having 2 smaller cheek radars, irbis can’t see as wide as the cheek radars but is can see much further than those cheek radars

AL-51 isn’t designed for Flankers, AL-41F-1S will likely be the last powerplant Russian Flankers ever get.
Besides MAYBE, and this is a huge maybe, an upgraded 41F-1S or some shit.
i feel like they can upgrade with idz 177 ? but its a new engine and ig nothing is known about it atm

There is a aesa su35 upgrade in works using a n036 derivative, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they put a 177, or a non gimped 177 engine of al31 diameter in it

My opinion is in 2110 the flanker will still be flying. It will have brain to computer interface and drones slaved to her computer pilot interface but overall still flying.
