The only situation in which the AIM-120 is the best missile is is killing a bad player, that’s it. Every other missile is better when fired within effective range.

Which is the entire reason I’ve been hard grinding the USSR tech tree since December. My conclusion has been y’all have been full of cope. The jets are perfectly useable. Hell I have better stats in my Su-27SM just in the time it took to spade than I do with the F-15C! Hey there y’all are moaning like it’s worthless! I’m straight up saying y’all have skill issue and are just mad the jet doesn’t do absolutely everything for you.

Dude it was and still is dominant missile. R-77 was literally a glorified SARH with the ranges it needed to be fired for effective use, while AIM-120 slingers can sling it BVR and force people into a defensive posture which grants them positional advantage

It is perfectly usable still within 20km, idk why you douln’t think that otherwise

Also have you used the N001 before they figured out the scan pattern was bugged? That PoS was blind as hell, again forcing you to be under 20km just so you can use HMD PD

Yes. It is identical to the MiG-29A/G radar, only with slightly longer detection range, which I have been using since it’s addition.

And any missile fired in BVR is a waste of a missile against a competent player. Unless that’s what you want to say? You are incompetent and so 20km+ missiles hit you often.

The HoB ability and faster TTI of the R-77 is far more important than any maximum range of the AIM-120.

Frankly I’m glad I should be able to finish the Su-30 grind tonight so I can see just how much cope y’all are full of for that as well, since it’s a direct upgrade in almost every category, yet y’all moan about it being worthless, LMAO
