Manual specifies in the introduction that velocity should be assumed to be indicated unless states otherwise as posted above, so it is IAS not TAS
Sukhoi Su-27/30/33/35/37 Flanker series & Su-34 Fullback - History, Design, Performance & Dissection
This now makes sense and renders the comparation posted above as wrong
In-game at 30 minutes fuel it is already doing ~14.65 deg/s prior to the Oswald efficiency buff. Now that it has a cockpit WTRTI will track the data properly so when dev server opens next we can test again. What I saw was that its’ sustained turn rate was already for the most part correct (and superior to the F-15s).
The F-15 when testing had underperforming sustained turn rate below 0.4 mach airspeeds (by like 0.5-1G)… However, at speeds 0.4 mach + it was performing pretty much identical to the charts.
This whole discussion is based on a line from the Russian documentation claiming as much as 5 deg/s difference which is nothing short of absurd. I don’t see where / how this is the case.
this should be the initial trajectory of the missile, taking into account the position of the nose at the moment it fired
but in reality the missile goes in a totally different direction from where the nose of the plane is pointing
thats my point, the missile should not go down like that when you are pointing your nose almost direct at the other plane, like i said for @MiG_23M - it seems that the pitch up it’s so sudden that the game still thinks the plane is in the initial position before he pulled full AoA to lead the missile
i also pointed out another example here comparing to how it is in DCS
The graph is from the TsAGI report and is seems to be a clean Su27 with 18920kg gross weight (50% normal fuel load
Edit: Looks like not a clean configuration as the same 3000m curve is much lower than that in the 27SK manual.
Not in all documents…In this case, the instrument speed is indicated separately…It is also fully written-true/instrument speed…
Spoiler
13 min roughly equals to 50% normal fuel loading. I guess it’s used for testing by the devs.
if it is indicated, it is much closer.
Also 3000m is a bit lower than 10000 feet and 35000lb is around 60% internal fuel on F-15.
No!..see my post below and read carefully … in this book (this is not the RLE Su-27SK)-THE INSTRUMENT AND TRUE SPEED ARE DUPLICATED BY TEXT AND FORMULA…The charts show the true speed.I underlined the text and the number of the graph drawing…
In this table, it is incorrect for the Su-27…
Spoiler
yes though its important to note the Su-27 carries way more internal fuel is 27% internal fuel in the Su-27 is gonna last a lot longer than 27% in something like a F-15 or F-16, for reference Su-27 at 27% has a little over 2.5t fuel while the F-15 at 60% has about 3.2t
It’s only 158 feet difference. It’s pretty close.
Yes!..
From 27SK manual, it’s tank 2 + tank 3, totaling 5220 kg. So 50% means 2610 kg.
Эксплуатационная вырабатываемая вместимость топливных баков (при γ=0,785):
• бак № 1 – 3180 кг;
• бак № 2 – 4160 кг;
• бак № 3 – 1060 кг;
• бак № 4 – 1000 кг;
• ВСЕГО – 9400 кг.
And from TsAGI report posted above, 50% normal fuel loading equals to 18920kg gross weight. Try calculating with 50% full internal fuel.
yep, just saying
Incorrect…This is a clean graph…There are two others…
Spoiler
What for?..I gave examples of the angular velocity of the U-turn!..
This weight is 18920 kg…It is necessary to add the weight of Pylons and R-27/R-73 missiles…
Because you are using a TsAGI graph, and this graph is for a clean Su27 without any missiles. This is not a graph from the 27SK manual, which include missiles.
