They’re gonna fix it in december and drop the Su35 at the same time, I’m willing to bet.

I’m annoyed that they closed the comments so fast.
The guy who made the report seemed to have the Sukhoi anniversary book on a PDF or something, but the comments closed before I could ask for it, and I can’t find him on the forums to dm and ask.

So… Su30SM2 shouldn’t have Irbis but magically there is some unknown radar that supposedly twice as good and not N011, maybe put that thing in Su35s instead? /s

First production run is indeed was using AL31 and in 2024 version with 41 was being tested and next ‘run’ was supposed to get them)
How can you increase range of radar without physical changes?
Wouldn’t that upgrade be the ‘Irbis’ since it was based on the ‘bars’?
then why say the bars will retain is array

Isn’t that an export mod?
Generally export modifications are 10-30% downgraded, so … Maybe some bars modification had more than 150 or they indeed plucked antenna from Irbis inserted it into SM2, and then just went to change radar in Su35sm

and the same would go for the IRBIS-E(xport) as well
so that is a pointless argument
and then again in the same video that old man specifies that the Su-30SM2 will recive the same engine as the Su-35
so why not say that it has the same radar?
ontop of that in that video they show the 30SM2 production line,
and this is most definetly not an IRBIS but a BARS

Not sure you get away with that anymore.
Algerias Su-57 has to be as close to Russias as possible. They will not accept missing systems and downgraded performance.
and even then, if it is the case, i was comparing 2 export radars with each other so it dosent matter
For sure it was more we are not in the 70s/80s exporting MiG 23s without RWRs
