yes
official Sukhoi news outlet

It also reroutes you sometimes randomly lmao truly an official Website

that is the news for the city of Irkutsk

Holy cherry picking brother, what does “Самолет получил улучшенные средства оптико-электронного прицельно-навигационного комплекса” mean again?

show me where it says it is the Irbis

or explain to me why on every image of the Su-30SM2 production line they are mounting the Bars

or explain why the Su-30SM2 dosent have the bigger radome for the Irbis like the Su-35S does

Downsized irbis for sure /s

To be fair, the SM2 was spotted with R-37M’s a few years ago, which probably means that the Irbis is present.

There is no need to downsize Irbis. It was tested in Su-30MKK airframe with no problems. But it would be most likely only at half power because of airframe power system. (But this is still just speculation because Irbis wasnt installed on Su-30SM2)

where does it say you need an Irbis to fire the R-37?

the Mig-35 can launch the R-37 and it dosent have the Irbis
same for the Mig-31

No, this means that MiG-35 has Irbis! And MiG-31 as well /s

Well, as far as I’m aware, R-37M doesn’t work with BARS. But who knows.

Tested with AL-31, while SM2s have been delivered with AL-41s now, so power sourcing wouldn’t be an issue

that dosent mean that it cant be a new version of the Bars

based on what.

the issue would still be the radome that is too small and the fact that on every image of the Su-30SM2 production line you can see them mounting some version of the Bars
