Well wouldn’t that just show the R-77-1 is overperforming?
Not really, since it doesn’t really give any metrics. Just saying that “R-77M is meant to surpass AIM-120D” isn’t proof that the R-77-1 is overperforming in game.
Was this from the Fly Off Magazine? I think I remember reading something about that, but it was from ~2006, and mentioned AIM-120D having a Dual-Pulse motor- which, it doesn’t.
noone asks for the new weaponary. SU 35 with current sm2 weapon loadout will be fine.
SU 35 flight performance will be still worse than 15ex\ef2k\rafaele in the game. It will be a slighly improved sm2 (which is a franckenstein but who cares). So there is basicly no reason not to add it logically imo
Should be superior to any AMRAAM variant given that it is a dual pulse missile with an AESA seeker, it’s closest competitor is the PL-15 with which it shares a almost all design features from size to weight, engine type and control surfaces layout.
I’m pretty sure this is where Kizvy got the info that it should be on par with the C-7/D.
I belive that Vympel overestimated the C-7/D, since it’s stated that the D has a Dual Pulse Motor and that the R-77M has a 100 sec burn time to be “Better than C-7 and not worse than 120D”
Of course this was written back in 2006, so it would make sense that most info on the 120D would be a guesstimate.
Assuming this IS the source he used, It’s likely that the R-77M in reality is better than the 120D.
on par with aim120d only if russians are like 20 years behind in solid rocket motor tech which i doubt.
not just the motor but the airframe and guidance is very optimized for ranged performance
This is statement from 2006 when Izd 180 was still in development. How accurate it is to serial production R-77M is difficult to say, especially considering that AIM-120D capabilities were probably overestimated by Russia (Iirc it was believed that 120D used dual pulse motor)
AESA seeker only rumored, there is no definite proof that it actually has it
Depends, Gripen E and Aesa Eurofighters had 0 screen time but were still present on the dev server.
In all honesty I think the Su-57 will drop before the Su-35, which might even be next update at this point.
If in today’s dev we see something like the Rafale F.4 together with the EX I will be almost certain 5th gens are next.
Tbh if 5th gen is in december they might add Rafale F.4 and such at the same time since modern Rafales are the closest thing to a 5th gen counterpart
I doubt that Gaijin will skip on something so recognisable and popular, but include a random Hornet from a pack. They probably consider SM2 good enuff for now, but want to give US something that actually is on same power level as AESA Typhoons or SM2.
Su-35 will drop today guys in the dev stream, believe!!!
Yeah afterall the Sm2 and Su-35S share most of their strenghts.
The Su-35S and Su-35 (for china) are now probably the last things left to add before fifth gens. (as well as J-11BG and a new Rafale)
Kizvy is our beloved Sukhoi leaker
I mean,.sure… but having a better RWR coverage and 360° MAWS is huge improvement to the situational awareness
True.
looks to be the other way around, SM2 has the chance to have spherical RWR, while Su-35 doesn’t for now, at least looking at the external antennas.
Last dev-server reference post:
It will only be on a par because of how Typhoon is held back. I hope the addition of F-15EX and Su-35S allows Gaijin to stop gimping the Typhoon
if gaijin “ungimps” it an sends it into Gen 5 reservation i wouldn’t mind that at all.
I am of the same mindset I feel Rafale and Typhoon powered up could probably hang with Gen 5
