I guess that makes sense, but then I fail to see why they bought an entirely new type of fighter only for it to be in such a small amount and without barely any integration with the rest of the fleet logistics

To compare their tech and others aswell as re engineering

Huh, I wonder, in the light of the latest devblog, would it be worth starting to collect (and catalogue) sources for the additions for existing aircraft (like R-37M for Su-30SM2)
I think the only photo missing is the R-37 on the intakes, but if the Su-35 can I see no reason why the SM2 shouldn’t.

Could be, but usually Sukhois don’t suffer that MiG-like tax.
Even if it only got 4 it’d still be a pretty soild loadout imo.
Belarus operates Su-30SM2 (it even gets a Belarus skin in-game)
No su35 in the trailer. If it’s coming you would think they would want to show it off

Of course not, the Su-35S isn’t an F-15EX equal, Su-35S is superior and has better capabilities and missiles.
Gaijin adds F-15EX with just AIM-120Ds because it hasn’t been seen with AIM-260 yet while adding Su-35S with R-37M and R-77M in December patch since it uses those missiles in service.

That superiority just boils down to how good they make the new-build GE-129’s and whether it gets 12 or 16 AMRAAMs, and if it gets tail boom MAW (which at least one EX did actually have)
I mean, even if you make the engines good, and give it tail MAWS, how good can it be against Su-35S with 360 maws and R-37M/R-77M.
Well, I can’t answer for R-37M I’ll give you that, but wasn’t R-77M meant to be roughly equal to the base 120D?
aim 120c7 actually not even 120d.
but it was said to ‘exceed’ 120c7 so it’s probably on par with base 120d at least.

Well, I can’t tell you too much about real life performance cause I wouldn’t know, but if in-game modeling shows the R-77-1 on par with the AIM-120D in performance if not better, you could certainly imagine how the R-77M is going to be in comparison to the in-game AIM-120D just by going off of how Gaijin would likely model things (R-77M modeled as superior R-77-1).
