Sukhoi Su-27/30/33/35/37 Flanker series & Su-34 Fullback - History, Design, Performance & Dissection (Part 2)

thanks, it aint much but its something to bring it closer to the al31 M1s 12520kgf and al31 S3 12690kgf

it is nice to have, but isnt fixing the fundamental issue with the Flankers flight model, sadly

I could tell the difference on dev, not giga thrust ofc but at least it’s a little better than before.

Su30 on dev also got more elevator authority (can sustain 13G’s longer and easier at around 1000/1100kph). And BARS got full roll stability which is also nice.

(13G in a clean config, forgot to mention)

Should make rate fighting a little easier

Did they remove firing from irst when it automatically switches to irst?

Yes

This one might be not entirely accurate, Su-35S can carry 2 R-37s between nacelles, while here it shows only one. Althought the older missiles probably correct.

I mean even official export brochure don’t show any rvv bd between engines or suspended below engines, only suspended under the 2 inner pylons

Irbis of su35 can detect “very low observable “ 0.01m^2 targets from 90 km away

(Primary source)

Su-35 can tell 2 targets apart by 2.5 degrees/5m/s difference that’s within 50-100 m of each other
(5 m/s notch gate? Would be hardest radar to notch in game)

I guess pilots don’t read export brochures.

Are these jamming pods on the wingtips?
Or just special missile rails

those are Jammers

doesnt the flankers ECM pods have a physical model in game? atleast it looks like it when you see your flanker in the background in the hangar

by that i meant export brochures are inconsistent in their hardpoints like that recent brochure contradicts the older one

maybe because it wasnt able to carry the r37 on those pylons back when the brochure was made

maybe because that brochure is outdated

Any publicly available info is inconsistent to a certain extent. And it’s even worse when it comes for Soviet\Russian stuff because of much stricter secrecy.

but older brochures show rvv bd on those pylons

Irbis would detect f-22 around ~29km in narrow scan (±60 degree scan/120 degrees (not really narrow scan lol))
Irbis would detect f-35 around ~43 km in narrow scan
Both of these are front aspect best case scenario for f22 and f35
Overall I think stealth air craft will not really matter in wt considering how powerful these radars are
