27SM3 dosent get a better radar, it gets 2 extra wing pylons just like the su-30
so if they remove the double rack and give us 2 extra wing pylons nothing would have had changed
iirc everything that can take the normal r77 can also take the r77-1

Wasnt it also got access to double racks like 30SM and 35?
only the su-35s has been seen with the double racks
iirc it has something to do with the engines being a bit further apart on the su-35s
also if you want to tell the different variants apart:
So all in all no difference. Damn, wish we had a “lighter” 30SM. Its good, but God it feels so fat at times (especially after flying J-11B)
Isnt it also heavier? Plus Im having a feeling we wouldn’t see it anytime soon (we already made a huge leap from “Introduction” 4th Gens to ESA radars)
iam not exactly sure about the weight of the su-35, but regardless of that it is going to have better engines wich will help alot and maybe one day gaijin manages to implement TVC in a way so it actually works (we probably have to wait for the f-22 for that to happen tho)
and another problem that is making the su-30 feel really heavy ingame is likely missing lift at lower speeds
then no ef is obviously better, su30 offers a much better comparison but is still debated
Su-35s is going to be a fat pig at 19500ish kg, give or take 300ish kg empty. Sure, it gets upgraded engines (thus having similar thrust to weight to original su-27s, but it’s at least 2500kg heavier than the original su-27s which means higher wing loading and this higher compression.
It’s also a guaranteed death to launch a r27ER against a fox3 carrier in most cases. It’s far from being a bad missile and sometimes it really shines but if you launch against any 13.7-14.0 jet that it’s not at ~5km from you chances are he’ll turn around while you’ll keep going for his missile, resulting in your death and your 27ER stopping tracking the enemy.
Su30SM2 gets AL-41 engines which are significantly superior tho
the Su-35S gets them as well
So the Su-35 gets the extra weight due to the extra tanks and reinforcment made for those tanks?
They are good missiles, but that’s it… Most r27et kills are due to sleepy targets, in ground RB it’s more effective tho.
su35s is also able to take 4 r27et which i like alot
and you can negate some of the weight by taking less fuel (i know it is not ideal) and the Su-35S is also able to carry drop-tanks
so you could take less internal fuel and the drop tanks to make up for the extra weight
(and then drop the tanks when you engage someone)
Neat, so another flanker airframe that can take a few more ET’s (other than the su34)
I see, wonder how much the min fuel will be for this thing. Also with fuel dumping I’m curious to see if in custom lobbies with no fuel consumption (like duel ones) we will be able to dump fuel past the min amount haha
Typhoon image a render has shown it carrying double Meteor pylons taking the missile count up to 14.
But it just that promotional material and no airforce in the world has that many Meteors to equip each jet with 14 of them.
there is a chance that you wont lose any fuel in those lobbies, so you will be flying around with a maasive flame following your plane which might be even more funny
Lol
Your R-27ER is faster you can also use your HMD to maintain the lock or slew the Radar.
Players expect an easy notch a little bit of chaff.
The R-27ER ignores all of that.
You should carry a couple at top tier it is a guaranteed kill even if you send a 77 and then R-27ER
