Sukhoi Su-27/30/33/35/37 Flanker series & Su-34 Fullback - History, Design, Performance & Dissection (Part 2)

yeah, for typhoon, i just have it on, for any other plane, i turn it off tho

You’ll need the keybind anyway since Gaijin sometimes reset options to keep you on your toes.

true update is coming soon, thanks salt and kizvy for your fast responses

Flanker is not a Flanker as well, it’s an entire family of aircrafts. Yanks be Yanks as usual.

Well if the Fullback is a Flanker, why is it called Fullback and not Flanker.

No it won’t, reporting name has nothing to do with aircraft actual designation. It’s just an “official nickname” for the sake of convenience

I mean get real, it doesn’t even look like a Flanker.

Even the thing it’s based off, the Su-27IB doesn’t look like a Flanker.

It’s the Ugly Duckling.
The Su-34 is just it after hitting puberty.

What can I say, yanks have sight issues (and memory issues, calling 69420 different versions of Sukhoi peak just a Flanker, or having dozens of M1 equipment)

The funniest part of this back and forth is that the Su-34 is included in the title of the thread specifically for Russian Flankers.

Seems that gaijin updated IRST scan screen for Su-27 and MiG-29

The radar and IRST screens are pretty nice, like the mini jet silhouette that pops up on modern ESA now

Also the zoom ability, helps if there’s bunch of targets cluttered
