Sukhoi Su-27/30/33/35/37 Flanker series & Su-34 Fullback - History, Design, Performance & Dissection (Part 2)

15 is correct for the early version of the radar that the su-30mkm has. Su-30sm though would probably have the one with 25.
Imo though both planes should just be the same in game, it’s just semantics. (Both should just get 25)
(Old brochure for bars, outdated)

If only someone would try making a report about how it shouldn’t have Irbis…

Even if it’s likely a futile endeavour…

Very cool

first AI video made 14 years ago, so you’re certainly telling the truth

Can’t see the Sora logo 🥲

thats because that version was the most advanced before the AI sloop was released to the common public to make people mock AIs and for us to be secretly controlled by Elon Musk, we are living in a psy ops and Fulcrum E is 200% correct

the range 350-400 km at 3m rcs is marketing lie

in the video the radar is supposedly being tested against something around 0.76m² of frontal rcs btw, I doubt it a little, but I’ve never seen anything different from that

source?

Might as well be marketing lie.
Only 350km for a specific scan zone 10x10 with long dwell time while the normal mode is 200km.
While bars is already 120ish km for the same target in normal mode.

Just noticed the Fullback is the only Flanker without a model update, well it probably required a bit more work tbf.

I just wish they gave it R-77-1. It’d be a beast (I only play it in sim) even if they put it at 13.7

the Fullback is not a Flanker, it is a Fullback

Irbis is a less than 2x performance improvement over bars using similar scan modes/like for like comparisons

Can’t wait for fully detailed toilet

its not a marketing lie but in context of brochure it lies

25x4

no
normal mode is :
bars 140km
bars r with reduced noise factor : 200-220km
irbis e - 4 times more power so 210/0.69 = 300km

n035 for su35s are probably have slighty lower noise factor so range is probably 320-340km

Hahaha, thought about that.

Old magazines put it at a 10x10 zone, where did 25x4 come from?

Did you use flankerchan/stealthflanker’s aesa range calculator?

Is this for detection or tracking?
I assume tracking uses PD90 so that’s 110 km for 3m^2 target
