Thing about Izd 177 is that it is same dimensions as AL-31, not AL-41. It was designed for Type 99 mounts (which are mounts for Izd 99 which is AL-31)/

Technically - this is an option. Would require almost no changes to the airframe.
I’m dont have enough knowledge about Sukhois intake designs so I assumed it was also compatible with 35.
Then just slap the Izd. 177 on the SM and put it up to 14.7 and remove the SM2.
easy peasy.
Funny because they literally have zero information on that AESA radar nor its other avionic suites.

It was tested on Su-57. Su-57 has intakes and mounts for AL-41F1 which is bigger. So i guess there is a way to fit smaller engine into a bigger mount somehow.

I mean, for the J-11B radar Gaijin just copied the properties from the F-15E…
So. I’d expect more copy paste for the J-15T.
At this point everything is copy paste, unless there is some strong source. Fox-3 seekers are pretty much copy paste apart from few exceptions, a lot of radar and engine stats are copy-paste, and so on. With heavily classified stuff like 5th gens gaijin will just have to pull shit out of their ass.

Basically this. The Su-35 might as well have dropped last patch, but imo they just had few parts ready, like radar model or AL41, slapped them on a copypaste Su30sm and called it a day.
I think the Su35 will drop in June, when is likely that it will bring new missiles like the mentioned R-77M.
The thing is tho, what’s stopping the SM2 from getting the same missile… so again, differences are near 0.

Considering that early model of SM2 on the dev was literally Su-30SM and we are still missing additional countermeasures this is like 100% true

Just got done with my first few SM2 dogfights in a hot minute. I forgot how fun it is to pull negative G’s with TVC. It always catches people by surprise.
Even tho I’m still against it’s implementation…
