But this is unlikely, as the other Flankers (aside from the MKM) with AL-31s don’t really have a big problem with Thrust-To-Weight.

I didn’t see any Meteor? Is there a pic anywhere, I know they had them but not necessarily in the mission. Likely very few even brought meteor, and I don’t think rafale can even spot targets from that are beyond PL-15’s range. My best guess is that Indians didn’t expect resistance since this is so called ‘antiterrorist’ so Pakistan won’t react fiercely.
